The One in Prague Eurotour

Now they have removed NVB from the final and showing him at 2-2 with Stephane Cohen....match in progress.

Weird site : http://www.epbf.com/sportsite/2006/Eurotour/Czech/Praha.htm
The screen draw being used keeps changing back and forth.

Cheers Colin, no excuses though it was my choice, promise I'll be good in 6 months when I go away again! :)

The euro tour in general is very tough, pretyt much 256 A players, alt break and single elim after last 32, you dont do well in these events without beating a lot of good players. With eurosport getting on board hopefully it will get better.

PS
Also nice as a full time worker / short stop to be able just to pay my money and take my chances without having to pack my day job in and qualify hehe :D

NVB beat Appleton 9:1 in the final!
Nick struggled all the way through E group with 9-8 and 9-7 wins and a loss to yours truly!!:D

But he powered through the last 32. Must have really gotten into stroke.

And what happened to Darren?...dry or bad breaks...or did he crumble a bit. He must have missed a few chances with that scoreline in alternate break. Sometimes playng an opponents who's showing no weakness does that.

Did you see his last few matches?...how was he playing?

Good shooting, Craig! Here is New York rooting for you all the way. BTW, I know how hard it is to stay away from the bottle... But when you do that, they'd better run for cover.;)

Cheers

Sadly I got chatting to a couple of Russian girls in reception and missed both the second semi and the final!

According to Darren I think NVB played really well in the final but I think Darren had a few bad rolls too, he got a shirt foul called against him early on I think.

When you get sent to the one loss side it can sometimes be to your advantage with regards to getting in stroke. When I played NVB the second time at 11pm he had been playing back to back matches since 10am that morning, an impressive win none the less and a great showing by Darren in his 1st event!

For me, if I lose a tournament, I seem to feel better about it if the guy who took me out won the thing.

Fred <~~~ great showing, Craig

Cheers Fred, sure I'm happy with 9:8 and 7:9 scores against the winner but I would rather have a higher finish :(

LOL, Whats the dates for that again, is it an open event? :D

Funny though, in a city of however many million people its amazing how many pool players you can bump into in various "theme bars" in one night!
