The Pool Gods, and photos of them

Hi Folks,

Have any of you ever caught the pool gods on film or by other means? Post 'em!

They rear their heads at the most unexpected times, and come and go from nowhere.

It seems that a pool god is (or was) present at Amsterdam Billiards, and was caught
"on film", as I noticed in the recent video posted by Jude.

You can clearly see him looking over down Jude in this photo below, taken from the
video. If you watch the video, you will see him coming and going at many places.

There may even be more than one of them, you will see:
(One looks like King Tut at the left of the overhead light.)

That is truely Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is going to go over a lot of players heads. I am glad to see that you captured it on tape. I saw another one of these a few years ago from a few guys that were playing and these ghost were playing on the table next to them. Amazing!!!

OK, you asked, another pool god can clearly be seen in the same video.

I am not speaking of the pool goddess ( ) on the left hand side.

Look above the right corner pocket, about the same level as Jude's face.

You will see it appear and vanish.

That area you guys are looking at is where they have paintings of some of Amsterdam's greatest regulars. Right now on display are Jeanette Lee, Danny Barouty (one of the best straight pool players in the country) and the late Johnny Ervolino.

Thanks, I look forward to finding out more detail of what is in that area.

Perhaps it will turn out to be a photograph of the late Johnny Ervolino.

If not, perhaps there is more going on here. I did not know Johnny, but according to the one pocket forum,
he was a terrific person. This is what they said:

"An outgoing and easy going man, Johnny made friends everywhere he went, and he will be sorely missed by his many fans from all across the country."

It might be him, here is a photograph.

You know what I looked again and by God, I can see the faint image of Jersey Red, New York Blackie and Johnny Ervolino all hovering overhead. And Johnny Irish is in the background, with Greenleaf looking over his shoulder. The New York Pool Gods are haunting that room. No question about it.
