Hello Players,

Jim Murnak Custom Cue Cases (www.jimmurnakcuecases.com) chose the Predator 9-ball Tour to host it's first Women's Open 9-ball event, next weekend, July 19th & 20th and Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ. Jim Murnak has always been a strong supporter of the women in our sport and decided it was time to collaborate with the Predator 9-ball Tour to arrange for an event that's all about the WOMEN!

Some background on Jim Murnak and his beautiful custom cue cases. Jim Murnak is one of the most successful and sought after custom cue case makers in the business. His unique designs and attention to detail as well as his uncanny ability to individualize each case to it's owner's personal style sets his business in a class all it's own. He also recently created a new website called Go4Pool.com where he goes behind the scenes and into the minds of players, tours and other facets of the pool world through his video art. The website is still in it's construction phase but will hopefully be up and running next week. He did a video on the Predator 9-ball Tour too and some of our players are featured in it so go check it out when the site is up and running!

As always, we will be using 16 Delta 13 racks provided by Terry Taggart of Delta-13.com. The player meeting will be held at 11 am and the tournament will start at noon!

I am very passionate about seeing the women players grow and improve and have the tournament availability they need to develop their games into the highest levels and this is why I decided to join forces with Jim Murnak & Comet Billiards who also strongly support the women pool players!! This is the first women's event for the Predator 9-ball Tour and we hope there are many more to come, but it's up to you the women player's of the northeast to come out and show your support! The better the turnout, the better the chances of more events like this in the future.

C/D Handicaps The top finishing C/D player who does not cash will receive $100. Minimum 10 C/D players must participate in the tournament. In the event of a tie, the C/D player to earn the most racks in their final match will be the highest finisher. Reporting scores to the tour director is the player's responsibility. Please be certain Finnegan records your score.

REMEMBER: In order to pay the normal entry fee at the Tour Finale, you must have competed in at least 3 Predator 9-ball events during the season. Otherwise, you will pay double to enter plus the registration fee if you are a new player.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Tony Robles

This is so great! Who is coming to this???

(Does Tony always surround himself with hot chicks?):p :p

Love that room, Bill Haley and Tony Robles are a good team together and the tournament should go off without a hitch. Good luck to everyone!!

Iris Ranola will be there.

After the past NJ State Championship, I'm guessing some pros will be there as well -- Corr, Tiffany Nelson, Julie Kelley to name a few.

GG11 will be there!! (ME!)

Hoping as have as good a run of luck at Comet as I did last weekend!!

No they just gravitate towards him from what I have seen and Borana is way hotter than that pic. Not her best pic for sure.

THanks Nostroke.
I will def be there tomorrow and I am bringing more hot chicks with me! HEHE I am so exited!

Ad didn't seem to make it.

The ad that you see on the top of this thread was to advertise the Women's event in Inside Pool Magazine. I was told that it was sent out on the second or third of July. So far, I don't know anyone who got it in the New York area. It isn't exactly worth anything if it comes out after the tournament. I spent a lot of time and effort getting that ad done. Hopefully those who have seen some of the posts will come out and support the tournament by either playing in it or coming to watch it. I am going to raffle off a black #GL2100 with a red pocket and red handles. I hope anyone who can come will. It is very important to everyone involved to have this tournament be a success. Ad or not, I hope it works out.

Thanks,
Jim

From what I hear Iris Ranola and Liz Ford split as the tourny was running late. It was well after midnight at the time.

Caroline Pao got third. Borana had a good tourny too.

I heard the same. Iris was in the hot seat, and Liz and her decided to split since it was so late.

Anyone know if a write-up will be available on NYCGrind or the Predator 9-ball Tour website? I'm curious to see who showed up and how the matches went.

Is that the order in which they finished?

1st - Iris Ranola
2nd - Liz Ford
3rd - Caroline Pao
4th - Emily Duddy
5th/6th - Olga Gashkova, Asia Cysak
7th/8th - Naomi Fingerhut, Megan Minerich

I might have Asia and Megan mixed up, but I'm 90% sure this is right.

No, that's just a list that nostroke got out of his memory, which must be pretty good, because i was there for a couple of hours in the afternoon and I never could have come up with 12 names (out of 19) 2 days later. Liz and Iris split the final, but their names are in the middle of his list.

Nostroke....great memory! I can add 2 more, but my spelling might be off...Laura Luguda (the only Comet home-girl in the tourney), and I believe I saw a Megan Minerich on the chart, but I'm not sure who she is.

I must applaud Tony and Finnegan and the whole crew who are putting this tour together. (and Jim Murnak, who sponsored this event). This was their first all-female event, and I think a Saturday in July was a rough time to start, but they are working like hell to be the best tour out there! This tour has only been out there 6 months, but it is being recognized as the best around.

Thanks. It was good to see you again Saturday. I'm glad you did well.

Thanks!
I had my chances to win that last one, but Olga played very well. My next match would have been Liz, so I'm really not too disappointed :-)
