The Rest Of The Story

Watchez,
I Know Now It Was A Mistake And God Knows We All Make Mistakes. Maybe Reading This Will Help Some One Else. I Thought I Left It In Good Hands, Have You Seen The Size Of Chad???les
Sorry I didn't realize it was a hard case. Never saw it or the pic until now. Chad is big but I also thought a lil lackadaisical about even watching his own equipment that he had brought to the event. I was impressed with all the equipment they brought but kept thinking this is crazy in this atmosphere. Hopefully the next investment Chad & Justin make is some kind of prefab stage so they can at least separate themselves somewhat from the rest of the space around them. Guess Chad & Justin want to see the good in pool, but unfortunately it is still filled with the bad, and a lot of it.

It's probably sound crazy and it is a complete long shot, but have you thought about looking out for the case on evilbay?

Like I said, I know it's a long shot, but keep an eye out for it on there also, but as others have suggested, contact shooters and ask them about CCTV footage, surely that's gotta help at least.

No matter what, I really hope that you get the case back, because it is a heck of an achievement to get the amount of signatures on the case, and as I said in the previous thread, this should NEVER EVER happen in a pool room and/or at a tournament, Period!!!

Kudos to Steve for posting up a pic of the case, as this will be alot easier for fellow members of AZB to recognise it and help to return it to it's owner.

Again I wish you the very best of luck and I hope that you get it back.

Also, you might post Les Howard 'Stolen Pool Case.. Reward' in some online newsgroup. That way if someone is trying to sell your case and the potential buyer were to enter/google Les Howard, they would know that it was stolen property.
Doug
( AZB posts don't 'google up' do they ? )

That's also worth a shot, after all, the more coverage given about the case, the better the chances are of it being returned again.

Nice one Doug :)

Tang had his Justis case (with cues) stolen at Hard Times Sacramenoto several years back. We reviewed the in-house videos and saw the guy walking out with it. We called in a couple of regulars to see if anyone recognized the guy. The late great Dave Piona knew the guy from the Bay area and had his phone number.

I called him and laid a bluff on him (the tape was grainy). He denied any knowledge of the case. Okay, I told him, I will just turn the tape over to the police and let them handle it. Thirty minutes later he is on the phone to Dave with some phony story about picking up the wrong case by mistake. Bottom line, we got it back that night.

I like a story with a happy ending. You may still have that guy's number and if you do, please call him and see if he has Les Howards case...
Doug
( I know it's a longshot )

They left the cue in the bathroom because the case they could easily stick down their pants, up their shirt & walk out the front door. With a stick down their pants it would have been more noticeable when trying to leave.
Although it is possible to steal a cue case in this way, they might look funny with a 30" bulge in their pants. ;)

How about offering a "no questions asked" reward? Since the case is so easy to ID, that might work.

Yeah, then you can ask questions and not pay the reward.
