The Robert Bajao Freak Shot

Not exactly. He doesn't jack up and the cue ball doesn't hop up on the cushion. That's my first tip of the shot.

If I didn't watch him shoot the shot SEVERAL times, I wouldn't have believe it.

Anyone else?

Well with your latest hint I did this twice with 10 minutes.

I aimed to the inside of the ball where cb "A" is and played all swerve. This method produced more consistent results than the jump, squirt in method.

I bet FL could make this shot...

How often, I don't know.

Where's Eric Yow when we need him?

Joey you defeated me with this one. I tried for a bout 30 minutes and my best shot was getting cb to side rail then catching the point. Hit it real good a few times with max spin and speed but just followed it in. Whenever I did cut the ob into the end rail my cb had no problem spinning 3 rails.

The only way I see the shot being made is to initially aim a 1/2 to a full ball off to the left of the object ball and then jack up with parallel left spin, jump the cue ball down table so it just squirts in to the right and doesn't have time or a chance to swerve back in.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wouldnt this shot be alot easier(still brutal) on a GC with buckets, seem on a Diamond that when you would make the shot the rock would follow it in cause there aint much pocket to cheat, whereas a GC with buckets you could create a bit more angle.

Swerve Is The King On This Shot.

OK, but I'm going to start charging for these tips. :D

Congratulations. SWERVE IS THE KING on this shot. You discovered the secret in my opinion. I will send REP as often as system will allow. :)

Thanks for participating in the fun.

MUCH easier on the GC with buckets!

You deserve the rep for the question and the answer, I don't think I would have spent too much time on that one as its not as practical as your last shot. The swerve didn't and still really doesn't make any sense to me.
I figured with swerve the cb would be coming in towards the cb rather than deflecting, sorry squirting across it. I guess you just have to catch the outside of the pocket.
But I can't argue with the results, it was more consistent. Thanks

thats tough, i was home on a break and shot it 5 times, made it 3 but farthest i could get around was to the opposite long rail about where the middle pocket is.

I made the shot and got the shape on my third try. It went as shown, except it didn't hit the first rail by the ball.

Peter Gunn showed me this shot, although in a slightly different situation. You really have to aim opposite of what you think when jacking up a little... but only a little. The swerve is far and away more present than any deflection.

Peter Gunn show you right, except no need to jack up. :) Well, when shooting off of a Diamond table you have to elevate the cue minutely just to get a decent hit on the cue ball (because the rail is so high)but it is considered fairly level rather than jacked up. When you jack up on this shot it becomes a little more unpredictable because the cue ball is hopping more and doesn't give the swerve a chance to do the Nile Dance.

Joey:

I tried the shot 20 times and made it 4 times like page 1. I could not get the CB's 2nd rail contact to happen before the side pocket...

Then I moved the OB down to practice with more margin of error. I tried it another 20 times and made it 3 times like page 2.

I started to believe page 3 is the way to make the original shot. Good thing the pool room was closing... Otherwise I'd go crazy practicing it all night :D :D :D
