The Simplest Aiming Systems to Visualize and Use

I am hunched over looking for the cb edge to ob center and vice versa lines
Since you're looking for a half ball hit and cueing center ball, you should end up looking straight down the CB center-to-OB edge line. In this case at least, the other line can only confuse things.

Why don't you show him how to correctly do it with the CAD models you claimed you used to prove CTE works but then never show anyone when asked, deflect and say everyone else doesn't know what they are talking about, then run away?
Pfft. ETC can't even make a convincing point. Whadda you think?

Well, I'm not precisely looking for half ball hits. I just know the shot is in that neighborhood so I'm not looking to hit thin cuts or straight ins. I'm not trying to pocket every ball, just following Spider's instructions. I honestly don't know whether the actual shot is more or less than a half ball hit. It depends on where I come down with the cue. I could test it out but at this point it isn't important to know.

I'm not sure if I said you never used CTE. I will say in this video you didn't do any of it correctly. Nottabit!
OK I'll let you in on the secret. If you read up a couple of posts you'll see that I am following Spider's instructions. This is not CTE but he's trying to illustrate an idea and wants to see if it works for me.

Your eye positioning, head, and body will dictate the cue angle. It will be at ccb. Make note of it the more you do it and you'll see what it does. Don't force it one way or the other.
It seems to me there is a lot of wiggle room in how you point the cue at ccb and this will dictate how the shot goes. To date, I'm getting the same cut results no matter where the balls are on the table as best I can tell. I'll play around with it some more and if something changes I'll post about it.

Just answer the question
Not him but I'm assuming it's an open ended question to everyone?

Right.

I used it for about a month. I could do it. Now a year or so later... I only use CTE if I'm a third of the way into a fifth.

Just answer the question
Answer what question?

You didn't ask him a question, you asked Spider.

Well you are asking Spider questions, ask him why TS head position never changes in relationship to the cue, over his entire pool career, even though Spider said it was required for CTE. Ask him if he is accusing TS of being a liar or is he the liar? Can't have it both ways.

Why waste so much time on obfuscation when the results aren't even reliable? The act of shooting shots involves a very strict communications protocol. The balls and equipment are unerring in this transmission. Better to spend the time learning the language.
