The Smoothest Stroke

The smoothest stroke of the great players, imo, was Steve Mizerak.
..close second..Cowboy Jimmy Moore.
Can't believe I forgot Jay Swanson.....Swannee hit 'em so smooth....
...made you ache.

..I'm thinking a few posters forgot the original premise of this thread....
...SMOOTHEST....

Buddy Hall, Steve Davis, and now Alex Pagulayan are 3 of the best strokes
I've ever seen....but not necessarily the smoothest

Jay Swanson had a real smooth stroke and I would love to see it again, is there any video of Jay Swanson playing pool. He came to Bruce's Billiards in Indy probably 89 or so. I drove him to eat and back to his room I am not sure why but he was not driving he was there with someone else. He had nice stroke, I hope there is video.

The stroke I owul dlike to see from the side would be Harold Worst. I have seen some clip of him shooting but you really could not see his stroke.

There have been a lot of great strokes post video if you can especially if old VHS footage of the players from the 80's I know there has to be more footage avaialble.

Steve Mizerak. Absolutely. When he was in gear and just playing it was a thing of beauty. Playing straight pool you have to guard against a soft smooth touch turning into a dog stroke.

Steve played like silk through the racks, and then if there was a shot that required a little extra, perhaps a harder follow with running english, you'd hardly even notice any effort. Ahh, thinking about it has me going through some old 14.1 videos to watch. :)

Sure miss that man!
