Well it looks like my run of good playing continues! I am so happy!

I just finally placed in the money on a tournament. It is only a local 9 ball tourny, but I was still happy because it wasn't a cake walk to get to that point.

I got a bye the first round, but I had to play Belinda Lee the second round. She had me down 5 to 1, but I wound up winning 7-5!

The next round I had to play a dude named Logi, and I won 7-5 against him too.

The next round I had to play a guy named Jake and I beat him with an awesome 1/9 carom, a 9 on the break, and an awesome jump shot over the 7 to put the 3 in. I beat him 7 to 6.

The next round I had to play one of the best players in my area, and Bill pounced on me 7 to 1! I only got the 1 because of ball in hand on the 9.

In the loser's bracket I lost to Daniel Coughman 5 to 3, but I think Daniel was sandbagging on me! LOL

I only won $60 bucks, but over all I was happy with the way I played this weekend.

It will motivate me to practice some more this week provided that Dean doesn't have us evacuating! LOL

I am so happy my game is starting to climb a little. Before long maybe I will feel adequate playing in the Fast Eddie's tournies! LOL

Congratulations. You're justifiably excited, and hopefully you can continue to build on this success. Well played!

Thanks!

Well thank you! I am so glad the way I played. I still have a long way to go in order to play with the big boys, but I am just glad to finally start seeing my hard work paying off! It is great to see that practice actually helps! LOL

Thanks!

Thanks Linda!

Hopefully I can keep the streak alive tomorrow night at league! LOL

Good show, bud! Keep it up.

Hope to see you at Fast Eddie's in San Antonio in September!

Are you going to the Texas State 9 Ball Championships at GCue's in Roundrock over Labor Day? A lot of the big boys (Gabe,Corey, etc.) are coming in for it.

Real nice post, this is the essence of what completive pool is about.

Moments like you say are hard to come by.

You put in hours of time, work hard on your game, buy books, tapes, log onto AZ, etc., just so you can have a few moments of satisfaction and pride.

For me, makes it all seem worthwhile, and can, as you said, push your game to even higher level.

Not everybody is capable of knocking off Johhny Archer in a race to 11 in nine ball, and, even if you could, not everybody would even be happy for you and share your joy!

Thanks for sharing.

Yea Stones I plan to be in SA for Fast Eddie's in Sept.

Unfortunately I can't make the 9 Ball Championship during Labor Day because I will be in Ohio! The Ms. wants to go visit her friend that just had a baby, so you know I have to give a little in order to receive! LOL

Thanks for the support, and tell Ironman hi for me! I can't wait to come up there and play in another Fast Eddies. Maybe this time I can go 2 and 1 instead of 2 and 0! LOL

Good luck in Round Rock!

And thanks for the support everyone! It sure makes this game fun when you can actually see improvement.
