I am trying to pay a mortgage, raise a newborn, go back to school, work, pay for cars, pay our bills, pay for gas, and be a good person WITHOUT strechting the rules of fine print laws, and not robbing old or poor people and telling myself i am helping them so i can sleep at night. AND THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!!

Why don't you really invest and help them take it beyond dependency on AZ billiards?

I was totally into the podcasts - what happened to those? I listen to Run Out Radio's podcasts and they get advertisers to pay for spots.

Why not use your money to buy cheap radio spots for TAR and try adn get them a wider audience. Or fund an SEO campaign to get the website known?

I think a man in your position would be much more effective if you became an investor and used your connections to connect them to the right people.

Would be much better than trying to guilt those with far less money into donating. If one is going to donate then there are far more worthy causes than online pool matches.

The DCC had over 1000 viewers at many times. During the free feeds for this event I have not seen over 200. So it does seem something is different?? I think it is the action! The DCC coverage I was glued to watching stuff like the Little D kid rob that Tater guy of like three dimes in like 11 minutes or something, it was the nuts!

I have not really had any time in the last week to do much viewing. But my hestation the one time I was going to pay for coverage was the quality and then the suggestion that I load up another browser. Perhaps the technology is just not there yet but I would pay for decent online coverage. I also think the price is too much I mean really like $15 would probably be admission for an event like this. Yeah yeah your all probably going to tell me I should pay travel hotel etc. then see what it costs. I would rather spend my money on a DVD that I can add to my collection.

Now you guys that are trying to get people to donate,, I have already done that. Would like to buy the online coverage but have to work today and tomorow.

We would like to thank Fatboy for his help. He offered to match Brian Fisher's auction total and he did that and then some. We appreciate it very much.

We do not expect people to just donate. Those that can and do we appreciate very much. We understand that if we can not make a product that will stand on its own merits then we will not be here. We have no illusions and we are not a charity.

We have grown from a $10 website to full fledged promotion and production company in about 6 months. We are not going to do everything right but we will do our best and when we screw up we will do our best to make it right.

The things we do are not for everyone, hell they are probably not for most people. The trick is we dont need a 1000 views for every event, it would be great but I have no illusions. I am a huge fan of Accustats, they are the standard of the industry. All I ask is compare our stuff at 6 months to their stuff at 6 months. I think we are on the right track.

This tournament coverage was an experiment. A rather expensive one but it was a calculated risk on our part to see what the interest level is. It is far less than what our main focus is: Action. After we get back home we will evaluate what we did right and wrong, how to improve and whether to do it again or not.

I hate to see people bickering back and forth about this thing. We appreciate those who go out of their way to help us and understand that most people just don't care one way or another. We think there is enough of a market to continue so we will see.

Just for a little info on your requirement to spend $15 on a PPV. Accustats is the only company that can provide that level of production and they have about $300,000 worth of gear and crew of 5 or 6 that come in a semi truck. If they can't do it rest assured that we will not be able to.

Our goal is not to provide ESPN style coverage. The market and industry will not support it. We will improve but I am afraid we will not reach your required level of production for some time if ever.

Our goal is to show people evnets and players they would otherwise never see. in order to do that we must maintain a light footprint and be flexible in our methods of production and distibution. Maybe someday pool will have UFC like production values and distribution. I am not holding my breath.

TAR is great, and if you don't like it you probably don't like pool/action, or know much about either. In which case why post on AZ?

JCIN, personally, I don't mind the one camera in a stationary position - it makes me feel at home, that's exactly what I see when I'm railing some big action at the home room (again, something some people know nothing about)

hot shot, the $$$$ i gave them was a public deal on a cue that was sold i matched the sales price, so stuuf unless you know whats really going on, and i'm proud of you for raising a family etc. but before you knock someone make sure you have all the facts.

i made this thread because these guys are my friends and I just wanted to encourage people to support them, they are out there busting their balls and losing $$$, They never offered a piece of the action as an investor, so I do other things for them, my dream is the same as theirs. What i dont want to see is guys talking about how great it was back in the day when we had TAR, meaning that if they dont get into the black sooner than later they are gonna disappear they cant keep losing $$$ and time., I dont work for free, I assume you work and get paid, would you go to work and pay who ever it is your working for? no, you get the $$$, well right now TAR isnt getting the $$$ to cover the production part of it let alone their personal expensis-they are working for a loss, and thats bull shit.

i sold a car for $1,200,000, 2 weeks ago-which is a super small % of what I am(have you ever had $1.2M?), i didnt mention it here until now(and wouldnt have), just to illustraite how shallow your thinking is(about me), otherwise i never would have said a word because its just a car-I have lots more but I'll spare you the details, how's that?. You have no idea who I am or what I can really do(nobody here really knows much about me including Jay), its ***** like you that make want to do nothing as you would be the first in line for what ever you could grab for free, beg for a ride in a Enzo, and truth be told you would love to have the life I live(cars, porn stars, jets, travelling the world, houses, not sweating $$ etc.), but you dont so you sit there and hate because your too weak to applaude success, i have friends on the Forbes 400 i have no jealousy of them, i learn from them, thats the difference between us, dosent make me a better person but at least I step up, just like the Tooth thing I posted. If your gonna criticize me fine but back it up, want to flip for something?

It is a SAD DAY when there are individuals out there that will knock someone trying to help our sport. Our game, our industry, needs all the help it can get. Does not even professional sport games such as baseball and football, etc. have sponsors, and their name would be posted around the football field or baseball stadium for at least recognition that they are trying to help the sport. If it were not for some of these companies and corporations the players themselves would not receive the salaries they get when playing the game they love. I don't see any of those players complaining or spectators complaining, about sponsors helping the sport.

If there is someone out there that would like to complain let them write out a check or add money to a tournament prize fund, or take some players out to dinner, or help with the cost of filming our game or the players we all care about watching.

If you cannot afford to give yourself, or you are so selfish you cannot help others, maybe you should look at yourself and say why is it that things are so tuff, then just maybe, a ray of light may fall from above on you that you might just be in a position where yo will be able to bless someone less unfortunante than yourself.

There are those out there who often help without being noticed and there are some who help hoping someone else may take notice that the word may get out that we have a need in our sport where others need to get involved and add whatever help they can. What is wrong with knowing someone is HELPING?

As far paying bills, I have 5 mortgages and owe a million dollars, pay my son's rent each month, help my daughter each month with her finances while she is going through a divorce with a guy who will not even pay child support, etc., and the list goes on and on. I am sure there are a lot of us who are buried with the burden of life and the finances we need to survive from month to month.

I have a business which virtually turned no profit last year with bills I mentioned above, and I am a mortgage broker and several homeowners called me last year and I cannot help them any longer for some of them are unable to refinance their home for they have no equity left in their homes for their home values have fallen in this state.

Buried as I am, I will not hesitate to help others for there is a day coming when that ray of light will once again fall on me, and then I will tesify to the fact that no matter how low I get, or that you may get, there is always a way back up and out of our financial difficulties.

Wheither things are difficult or easy in life, when it comes to my finances I will continue to be a blessing to others who are less unfortunante, for life is too short to do nothing, and in the end, we will all check out with nothing, and any chips we did have that are left on the table, will remain hopefully, helping those family members and friends that need it the most.

What can I say, kept on truckin, keep helping those less unfortunante than you, and keep on believing, for there is a better day coming, and then you WILL SEE that you yourself, were surely not forgotten!!
