$15 $15 $15 1/4 tank of gas? try driving an hour to watch a tournament what will that cost you? how about 2 hours? bet it's more than $15. if you don't want to help shut up or thank those who do. if you can't help now do it when you can, but quit crying & talking @#$% about those who do. if i offend anyone GOOD!

I just love how FatBoy let's it be known that he had donated some $$ to TAR and the initial reaction isn't "yes! someone is putting some money into pool", it's more like jealousy.
The point of this thread was obviously to encourage people to start supporting TAR, and you guys turned it into an attack on FatBoy.

I UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE SHOULDN'T GO AROUND BOASTING ABOUT THEIR CHARITY, but this isn't one of those times where it is bad to do it. FatBoy is a high-profile member on AZB and when he does something like this it can have an impact which leads to other people helping out. It's a good thing.

If you have a family and kids and all that and can't afford the $15, then that's fine man, no one is upset at you, we don't think you're evil - but don't berate the guy who did something good.

we'll said, the only reason i mnentioned it was because i pubilally offered to match what ever the cue sold for, so it wasnt a private deal at all it was public from day one, i had people Pm'ing busting my balls if I had paid them them(i didnt know the thing was over) So i make it public that i paid up that is all the tread was about, I aint looking for anyone to kiss my ass, BUT i'll be god damned if I'm gonna do shit with people being nits, i have no time to associate with them. Why would I want to pump $$ into anything that benefits people who are like that?, dont get me wrong i'm not posting up ten's of thousands of dollars-I could if I wanted to, i just put my toe in the water and I get this bullshit, Why would I want to do anything else in the future? I tested the waters with a small thing and get shit on right and left that I can handle. What I wont handle in doing any favors for nits, these people are shooting themself in the foot.....like thats anything new in pool, and they they ***** and moan why isnt pool attract big $$ like golf or bowling, i think this thread anseres that question clearly. respect

As far as anyone saying $15 is too much... I'm sorry, I am not a man of wealth, but $15 is never a lot of money, ever..... And if it is, I got a guy that'll teach you some jack moves, get you back on track.

Fatboys OP was all about patting himself on the back for giving you guys money,, as though you were a charity.

I made an analogy between your business and my business showing that both are "for profit" ventures not charitable organizations.

I don't know what kind of gear you have but in the context of the post it doesn't really matter.

un like Fatboy you dont have any bills???? brother if you knew what my bills are each month you would accuse me for lieing, just the property tax on one of my houses is $11,000/month(not yearly) water is $3500/month, 8-$10K for power-thats just one of my homes, think I have it easy your even more wrong, i work consantly so I can pay my bills, this may be difficult for you to comprehend but the richer the more bills you have, think bill gates dosent have bills??? where did you come up with that notion:confused: you need to get out a bit more. no bills LOL or dosent have to worry about them LOL i just cant go get a job to cover them so my business no matter what has to run profitably, guys with normal jobs have it easy they can switch jobs and make the same income, well in the big leagues it dosent work that way.


TAR sure as hell isnt a charity but helping out friends is the right thing to do. what I dont like about their business model is people like you directly benefit from their $$$ and dodge any responsibility, parasite.


and yeah to an extent it was a bash Fatboy thead and i can handle that just fine, dosent even bother me, because deep down i know the ones who hate me the most are the ones who would love to live like I do. But with that kind of negitative energy they will never amount to anything, how do I know that??? i was like that until my first bankrupcy and then i changed my out look and good things started to happen, like in pool the more you play the luckier you get, AZE is going places and i dont know him very well but his mind state will lead him to success, and when he gets there then he will have to handle it, if you think its easy to have $$$ look at the f'ups like Britany Spears, or other rags to rickes people who spin out on blow cause they can afford it. etc.

you don't need a magical machine to give me the quality that I want.

I don't have the time or desire to watch a 12 hour stream. what you "could" do for your paying customers is give them the best quality stream that you can ( as I am sure you are) AND host the raw video in in the best quality you can produce on a password protected FTP server. host it there for a period of time say 60 days or something.

Now I can watch as much of it live as I can. but I also get everything I paid for and I get it at higher quality.

even when i was broke, jobless and didnt know what my next move was $15 wasnt anything, i guess i just have any respect for $$$, when i had to I would deal 3-card monte to scratch up something.

Grady said it best "money is nothing more than cupons to play someone else" its not what you can buy with it, its what you do with it that counts.

And I didn't "interpret" anything. You wrote what you wrote...insulted people who haven't paid for PPV...which is over 19,000 viewers of this forum. But that's ok. You can insult whomever you want.

If so, I'll give them to the first BCA Certified Instructor who PMs me asking for them and providing me with the text they want on the card.

TAR is a great organization with some great guys running it that deserve the support of anyone who can help. Period.

Regardless of how much you make, if you can't afford $15 to support these guys and sit there and watch the free feeds, then you're a nit. Plain and simple.

I agree..... and if I ever happen to win the Florida Lotto, I intend to simply GIVE $15 to TAR (No strings attached). I mean, I don't even expect anything in return, I'm just going to GIVE them the money, to do with as they wish.

LOL - are you serious??!?! I didn't think there was a third party involved that had traveled to the venue, set up cameras, paid for a live feed, provided commentary, and given away a lot of what they have done for free last time I was at the pool room watching a match....

If you really think the scenario you gave above and what TAR does in the real world are one in the same, then you're right.... you're not really a nit.... You're a CLUELESS NIT!!!

AZBilliards has plenty of sponsors that are paying to advertise here, which is how 99.99999134% of message boards out there stay in operations. I'm sure the revenues there are more than sufficient to keep this place running as it has for the last many-o-years.

Mike just came up with the "club membership" thing and offered a larger avatar, some fancy little banner, and more PM's. There is no value there for me, and obviously a lot of others feel that way as well.

You're comparing Janet Jackson to Janet Reno...... they both are similar (in names) but not even close....
