There are many rumors about the legality of ivory and ivory trading. Mr. David Warther, a noted ivory dealer has supplied the American Cuemakers Association with the whole story. With his permission, I have posted it on the American Cuemaker's Association website. Please note, it is copyrighted. You can't copy it or redistribute it without David's permission. David knows more about Ivory than anyone. A letter from him saying you used pre-ban Ivory in your cue bought from him is all the documentation the Government needs if they ever question the origin of the Ivory you used. That says it all for us, and why we only buy from him. Any $CASH$ cue with Ivory is legal Pre-Ban, I wouldn't have it any other way.

with all due respect he dosent know much, some not much. i will leave it at that.

I will clarify my statement this way. He knows more about working with and legally selling Ivory here, in the United States, than anyone else I know. Other areas that someone might have more expertise, such as harvesting or International dealings, have no bearing on the reasons I trust his expertise.
