The Ultimate Tim Scruggs Box Cue

This is Tim Scruggs very first cue he made and was built in 1973 when Tim Scruggs worked at Joss Cues.This was his personal cue that he gave to me about 15 years ago.This cue is signed by Tim under the finish the first fancy cue i made when i worked at Joss in 1973 Tim Scruggs.I have a letter from Tim he gave me when i got the the cue from him and a video of then World Champion Jim Rempe walking into Joss Cues and Danny Janes handing the cue to Jim Rempe and saying here is your new Cue and Rempe shoots with it and does some trick shots for a local NBC television show.I figured some of you would like to see a Super Cue that has been put away for a while.This is the ultimate cue made by the 2009 cuemaker of the year and future hall of famer.Scruggs cues will be harder to get as I am not sure he is going to make any more cues.This cue is now available for sale however please serious cash offers only.Send me a pm with any questions.(ATTACH]110746[/ATTACH]

what an unusual cue,i like it.Box cues are my favrite,this one is different from anything I have seen and it is a Scruggs

If you had posted this thread asking "who made this cue", I would have guessed Meucci.

That's a great piece of cuemaking history right there. Interestingly, I think the butt looks kind of like an old R.Black. :)

Thanks for all the compliments guys.Its amazing all the cue knowledge that some of you have.this cue never saw much of the outside world so thats why I am pleased to show it off to everyone.Who ever steps up to get this cue from me will have the top all of Scruggs and Joss Cues ever made and a great historical masterpiece.

I know PENNY has an OLDDDDDD Joss that looks kind of like that (or perhaps identical!). There were 3 made. Jim Rempe got one, Charle DeValia (I know I spelled that wrong), and Penny got one. You must have Rempe's which went back to Tim?! I would hang onto that one.

Penny had Bob Frey make him an "opposite" version of that cue that is just beautiful.

yes i know pennys cue and charli had one and nick varner had one which he sold in japan for 20k.those 3 cues were identical and this cue looks alot different and was tims first cue.butch parsons (rip) had the first cue tim scruggs made when he left joss and became tim scruggs cues in 1978 in the old barn in baltimore.
