The Verdict on BCN

For $39.95 that was just about the most fun I've had in a long time. Some of those matches were sensational.

Sure, they could improve. Yes, there were problems. But overall, it was fantastic. I was glued to my compuer all week.

What do you think?

I had a great time. Internet access to live matches is an exciting alternative to being there. I hope BCn received enough incentive from this effort to continue to improve and expand coverage in the future.

cheers

What do I think? No way I'm watching ANYTHING on my computer that last more than 60 secs. even if they were giving it away. I just don't think a computer is a very good media for broadcasting. JMHO

I subscribed to the DCC when they did it and thought for the price and the coverage it was allright. This time around I was unable to watch due to pool leagues and others things I had to do. I have tv out in my computer and it lets me either run it to a vcr or directly to the tv. If the schedules were firmer I might of gone ahead and gotten the broadcast and taped for later. But with things such as they are especially with a live event, schedules are hard to keep. I think for the person who can't make it to the event and would like to see the live action, then this may be the future of televised live events. Until "The billiard channel" kicks in, this is a nice alternative. But you have to remember, it is live, and schedules, outside influences, and a multitude of other things can affect the broadcast. Caveat Emptor, or as they say, buyer beware.

If we are waiting for The Billiard Channel to kick in, it will be a long long wait.

I was a little upset that they had so many snags at first, and of course the cancellation of the ring game was unfortunate, but all in all, I thought it was worth the $40.00. One other thing, I have cable and I'm sure my connection afforded me about the best image available but it was much less than TV quality and forget about full screen! I can only guess how bad the picture was for people with slower connections.

Someone needs to send CC about 65 seconds of the Tommy Lee/Pam Anderson video and see if he speaks the truth. ;)

I'll watch it, but in two sessions. :D
