There is a guy in Craotia who will shorten your cue for no extra charge.Only what you have to say to him before replacing the ferrule is "Please replace me this ferrule for another one".After the job is done you will see that your cues is no longer 58 or 59 inches as it was before.It will be at least two inches shorter.So,instead of telling him to build you a jump cue,you can say to him to replace your ferrule 3,4 times and you will have jump cue for the price of three,four replacements.If you will need more informations of this guy please PM me.

I have had no problem with my cues since I avoid this guy to touch my pool things.However,friend of mine gave him Prather and get ather back !!!
 
That's true !Believe me when I say there is that kind of guy.I will honestly try to put friend of mine in the mood for taking pictures of that ather,now and will post them then.Then,you will see what is funny.

I know someone like that too.

You give him a 13mm shaft and ask for a new tip, you get back a 12.5 or 12.7mm shaft.
I went there once before knowing this and when he sat down on my shaft (yes he sits on your shaft) I almost jumped over the counter.

Yes,seems that is very common in Europe.That is why I give my shafts and cues to a real cuemakers even if it is needed to send them overseas and wait some time.Also,that is why I have at least three shafts in storage.
 
We all make mistakes. Stupid people work in every country/continent.

Now I go to Oliver Stops for most of my work, some work is done by Andreas Sure. If I need a high end cue refinished I go to Cem cues.

But there are some good things too in all this.As I said if you are clever enough you can get cheaper jump cue from some old cue that you don't need it any more.All you need is to tell him is to replace ferrule few times and for price of replacements you will get new jump cue.Otherwise,if you tell him what you really want,it would cost you a lot more.

I saw that Prather...:(
However this guy can fix small damages on the cues without to make bigger damage...from time to time...

I think you will have hard time to put your friend in that mood.Maybe if you offer him the same stuff you are smoking :p:cool:
 
Yeah i figured the cuemaker is from dalmacija, since i have suspition who it is :D

I live in slavonija, and don't know anyone that uses a Prather cue around here...but heard of only one player from Split that use one (R.S.?) Are Prather's more common there and in Zagreb maybe?
