Post IT 100 Times

He's calling everyone's attention to the fact the Forum is out of control.

The Moderators have left the building along with Elvis.

The inmates are running the asylum.

Pick any one since each applies equally and appropriately.

And I have a used set of Centtenial pool balls I'm willing to sell so this post qualifies as meeting the Forum rules....ahem....which stopped being enforced many, many months ago.

PM me with your zip code for shipping and I'll quote you a delivered price. And I also can't be cited for hijacking someone's else thread as a forum rules violation....Ha....what are you going to do....report me???

Besides this thread never had for sale or looking to buy that was pool related. My post does so there......nah....nah....nah......nah. The issue of the Forum being oit of control is very, very, very serious and things are getting worse day by day.

I betcha hardly anyone knows what the rules are for this section. It's not the ones posted by Jerry Forsyth on the opening page.....nope, those are not the rules. So if you don't know what the actual rules are as written by Mr. Wilson, which are not posted anywhere on the Forum that I've been able to find, don't misinterpret the rules. Mr. Wilson straightened me out about this this past February about a forum member's complaint.

I've suggested to Mr. Wilson that a new thread be started and a rules clarification be issued for everyone welfare. The main difference is the Moderators have sole say on what's allowed or nor allowed even if the thread post seemingly violates the rules which include bad behavior, excessive bumping, price checks, knocking another's thread, etc.

So until Wyatt Earp comes to town to clean up Tombstone, the Forum will remain a cow town out of control. The entire matter is in the hands of the Moderators so until they get inundated with complaints about what's happening, nothing is going to change based upon past performance and the current trend of things..........Sorta like Congress and the Senate right now......nothing is going to get done until Americans start kicking their asses with complaints about gridlock, indecision and inaction.

Aside from that, wait for Wyatt Earp to arrive........NUF SAID!

I'm in no great rush to sell the set of Centennial pool balls...............

Pletho, You're Right On The Money!

Pletho,

You are right on the money by making this observation.

This morning, before retiring to bed, I posted a single cue for sale here.

At this time, I noted three different members; each of whom had more than three different cues posted within minutes of each other, all cluttering up this website. I believe one member had five (5) different cues, all listed separately, shortly before 10:00 am.

I don't need to mention the names of these members, as you must all know who you are, don't you?

If you're listing four or five different cues within a five to ten minute period, then you really should be doing a combined post, whereby all of the cues are listed by number. Otherwise, you're making an already busy website too volumous in its daily postings.

I wouldn't call Pletho a "whiner," as one member did, though I might think it appropriate to call some of the members with extraneous posts, "abusers," or "hogs," of this community.

This reminds me of a Chinese buffett that I once went to. A heavy-set man asked for more King Crab. The manager brought out a whole pot of freshly steamed crabs, and a line was formed behind the big man. But the big and boistrous man filled his plate so high, and picked the pot to the point to where there was literally nothing left for the patrons behind him. The moral of the story is that there should have been some kind of limit, or regulation, for without it, in a glutonous society, it's too easy for one to look out entirely for one-self, and overlook the rights of others, which in this case, is a shared community of billiards enthusiasts.

In closing, Pletho is dead-on with his observation of extraneous posts. I'm sure it will only get worse if the moderators sit back and do nothing about it.

Regards,

Glen (strum4u)
