Things are opening nearby

That is great news! I saw a post about a room in OK opening up this weekend too. About damn time.

My room opens on Monday.

25% capacity, and social distancing standards, but still...:happydance:

its a small chance of death if you are young and have no medical issues but are you really wanting to chance it this soon for a pool game.
or maybe catch it and give it to an elderly person or relative and they die.

where at? I'm headed down soon.

Racks, in Sanford. Just outside of Orlando.

Great room with a no shit scratch kitchen that gives them a restaurant license.

Good people and 15 bar boxes, but only 6 9 footers. All Diamonds.

Some decent talent. None of whom are me... :frown:

I did some research and it's more like HIV then it is the flu.

The flu attacks certain immune systems. COVID19 acts like HIV where it can attack every immune system.

Is anyone else adding HIV to it? This is the first I've seen of it. Did you make it up (the name)?

I kinda like “The Hot Garage” as an unofficial name for my building where my table is....
West Tx certainly lives up to it!

Clarksville tn room got a sweet 9 ball open going this Saturday

Not sure which one of the two pool rooms your talking about in Clarksville, but the bigger of the 2 tried opening the other day and was shut back down till later in May

Got word about a half hour ago that apa is starting back up this monday. Only detail i know so far is that they are only going to allow 5 players from each team to show. I am going to find out what types of social distancing they propose before i make a decision to go back now or not.

Although our league has many venues that hold league from dive bars to regular pool halls i only play at 2 pool halls. Many people.play several nights a week at all these various venues and that has me concerned.....not that those poolhalls are spotless but definitely cleaner than most of those other venues. So i am a lil leery about some one picking up the virus at one location and spreading it at another.

I am 65 but in damn good health ...other than smoking too much sometimes. No health issues of any kind other than getting short winded at work doing shit any sane 65 year old would not attempt lol. Things like running a jackhammer all day one day...throwing 100 pounds of steel pipe on my shoulder and climbing a ladder the next. Still weigh the same as i did in my twenties so i have always taken care of my self and damn sure dont want to end my life now by catching a virus by playing pool.

I keep reading about it mainly affects older people with underlying health problems but i have also read where children have died from it also. Just too much misinformation and too many different opinions from supposedly people in the know out there to make an educated decision at this point in time in my opinion. Not scared....just value my life and my families lives .
