Think this is very funny E-bay auction

I don't know...with the rings, I think that price is just two or three hundred dollars more than the retail of the cue. Considering the seven year wait, I don't think it's such a bad deal- obviously for someone who is in the market specifcally for a SW.

If that cue is worth that, I would like to know how much my 21 yr old solid purpleheart SW would be worth. I saw one just like mine on Wu's website.

Seems High for a Plane Jane.....
I would agree with you if we were looking at all plain-janes. But take SW, Cognoscenti, and a few other choice cue makers make these high demand cues, paying a few hundred more to bypass the multi-year wait for one seems to be worth it to many people, especially those who are starting their collections with not many cues in queue from wait lists. Ultimately they will spend less money buying it now rather than later because if SW has a seven year wait, you can bet that the price of the plain-jane will be at least what that person is asking today. So if you are going to buy the cue regardless, why not have it now for what you will pay in the future (or maybe even less money)? But I can certainly agree with you that if it were the same cue by a non A-list cue maker, the price would be high.

Well in 2 days, and 9 hours the market (e-bay) will tell if the Value, or Asking Price was set correct. So far ZERO Bids.

Well I would pay the few hundred extra and get a pointed SW. This cue is around 1,000 from SW. In fact I think if you order a 6 point now the price would be $1400 or so. Of course it will be 2012 till you see it. :) Very nice Franklins can be had in the $2100-2500 range.

Think IndyQ is wire in to SouthWest as he always seems to have a FEW....

FWIW, I NEVER bid until the last moments of any auction.

Volvos are nice too ...

but I wouldn't have one. I am a wood lover, but if I spend
that much for a cue, besides the balance and hit, it
had better look more like I would like it to look.
A friend of mine has a Southwest, spent $600 more
than I did for my Shurtz, and I think mine hits better,
and sure looks better than the Southwest.

Auction is over with ZERO BID... ;)

Looks like it is relisted except now the wait was 9 years. I didn't see the original ad, is the 1600.00 start point less than the original start point?
