Thinking of buying a Talisman Tribal case

Okay, I have seen these cases quite a bit, and I really like them. I have not seen one in person though and was wanting some feedback on them.

How do they compare to instroke? Quality? Weight?

I want a tribal in black 3x5 ( but may consider a 2x4 if price is right).

I like new, but would not mind getting one used in good condition or better.

Let's hear what's out there. I know what they go for, just have not pulled the trigger. Looking to get a deal.

Thanks

Jw

I was considering one of these for a while, until I saw what JB Cases has. YOu can get a flowers tribute case custom made to order for the same or even a little cheaper than these cases. Nothing against these cases, they are nice. Don't know if you considered JB cases but if you didn't know...now your in the know ;)

If not I don't think you could go wrong with one of these.

Okay, those flowers cases look great!

How much are they going for? I would definitely consider one of those!

I believe they start at 325.00 with your choice of cigar or flower tooling, your choice of leather colors. Name and other options are an upgrade vary in cost. Shoot John a pm on here or an email. Check out the site for info.

Talisman

I had one of their 2x4 cases in black. Very nice, but much larger than most other 2x4s. Weight was fine, lots of storage, but it is a wide, deep case.

The Talisman cases I've seen were big and I thought they seemed heavy. A few years back they seemed pretty cool but today, because of the many syle, color, and price ranges available, JB's cases have the nod from me.

I still love my old German made Instroke 2X3 Cowboy. But if I was to go for some retail therapy, a Flowers case is definately in the front running. They are nice looking cases.

I have one of the exact cases that you are looking for in 2x4 and in excellent condition. I don't understand the post about it's size, as it's the same size as my Justis 2x4, and it's also lighter than my Whitten 2x4 (non-light version.) The case is extremely well made, well padded, and has lots of storage. I couldn't be happier with it, but I have many other cases, and this one hasn't seen use in quite a while, so it may be for sale.

so, no one has a tribal talisman they want to get rid of?

I like my Talisman too much to get rid of it.

I don't know much about Instroke or JB Cases, outside of their relationship to John Barton.

They look like quality cases and the designs that John is producing at JB, are phenomenal.

how much and do you have pic's?

I have had 2 tribal talisman cases in the past and sold them both for Jb upgrades. They worked great but construction and hardware are cheaply done in comparison. I would still have them but good deals came up on the JB's.The interior of the JB cases was the selling point for me,I don't like to hear my cues flopping around in the case.
