This, 'Draw' shot looks..

So dumb question... since it hugs the rail the whole way back is that considered just one rail? Not counting the bottom rail of course. So I guess I should say was this shot just 2 rails?

Look at the video more closely!

He contacts the 1st rail right after the CB contacts the OP. Then, the CB travels down the cushion and comes off the rail and goes back to the rail just before hitting the short cushion to score at least a 3 cushion billiard!

It hit the long rail several times...each hit counts as a rail.

Ahh. I'm watching it on my phone so I can't see it that well. I'll have to check it out later when I get in front of something with a decent size screen

It occurs to me that I’ve messed up this shot sometimes by getting too much draw and
not enough left english....this vid made me see that.
...the side spin is 60% of the reason the shot works.
...max draw involves zero side spin...so I often hit too close to six o’clock.

Whaddiya think, Bill?....any validity to that thought?

You're absolutely correct! Contacting the OB about 97% full, with EXTREME 7-8 O'clock English, the spin it what really makes the CB hug the cushion! You can see from the video, the CB hesitates for about a 1/2 a second before the draw effect takes a little, then the spin takes over to go down the rail.

It was a good shot, but I was hoping to see him go rail first with low right and draw the cue ball 5 rails around the table with a massive hook off the first rail to dive into the corner and pick up speed. Oh well. Well played.

I can draw the cue ball 9 foot on a pool table.
would this be harder?

This is NOT just about drawing the ball! It's about, "Drawing the cue ball accurately with EXTREME spin to get at least 3 rails if not multiple cushions before scoring the point!"

If YOU have the ability to make it, and video it, I'd love to see it!

Thanks in advance!

Sadly, my closest POOL table is 45mins away, no idea how far to find a billiard table now. Old Salt City had one but pretty sure it's gone now.
