This is control of All 3...

i am NOT a 3c player so cut me some slack with my comment....:)
from what i know (not much,,:embarrassed2: ) a ball along the side rail or in the corner is a "big ball"
the shooter seemed to put ball 2 into the middle of the table way away from the rail
obviously he was able to hit his track accurately...:)
and his run of 17 is testament to his skill
but to REALLY control all 3 balls wouldnt he want to put the ball in the "big ball " position
this post is not an attempt to get the 3c players flame me
but to teach me how getting the 2nd ball in the middle of the table is a good thing
PLEASE BE KIND I AM TRYING TO LEARN....:)

Larry; Caudron didn't get an opportunity until point 10/11 to play for 'Big ball' position!

Then again on the 16th & 17th point He did, and finally for the win on 18 and just went a little too long!

How Nikos has only made it once, losing to my other favorite player, is a mystery to me

I think I counted 8 shots where ball 2 was ball 2 on the next shot. Meaning he placed ball2 to in a position to play it again. When that didn't happen he had a perfect natural by sending ball 2 into good ball 3 scoring position.

I'd say he only got into slight trouble twice and handled both perfectly ending in good position. Speaking of the backups. Being cruel you could possibly say shot 14 left him bad but the solution really wasn't that difficult although it resulted in the most difficult of the 2 backups.

Center of the table does not necessarily make the ball small.

For players under .800 or so, the, 'Center table' position shots or 'Open table' positions are NOT the best choice for them! The degree of accuracy required and speed control of ALL 3 balls is above their pay grade. IMHO!

So if less than .800 I should make sure I place or keep ball 2 or 3 in the corner?

Is there a way to do that when position play is above my pay scale?

I was agreeing with you Caudron's incredible control. But just saying that a ball in the middle (depending) can still be big (er) I see no way for say a .400 player to control anything. Why is there an argument? Coach me on this. I'm not at .800.

This is exactly where my Book/DVD can definitely help players in the less than .800 range! When the 3rd ball is in the middle of the table, accuracy has to be stepped up, along with absolute speed control of CB and the 2nd ball!

When playing to place the 2nd ball near the corner, you don't have to be as accurate, because it is a, 'Big Ball' for the next shot!

Example: This is a 'Half Ball' 5 cushion position shot.
