"Vintage Palmer Pool Cue Very early 70's Superb condition. Lots of Mother of Pearl

Custom Model J forearm inlays and Model 16 Butt with inlays of French Diamonds Joint has minor scuffing which can be rubbed out.

2 shafts, one with ivory ferrule.

Original Palmer case with logo.

Weight Butt 17.65 oz Shaft #1 4.5 oz. Shaft #2 3.80 oz Shaft size larger than 13 mm on both Butt is perfectly straight. Both shaft when rolled on my table lift off the table roughly 1/16 of an inch in the middle.

How can you tell it is a fraud without pictures? Some people don't know enough about a cue to describe it well, and often go on the advise of others.

Can you see something I can't.
 
Amen! How and the heck can you tell this is a fraud? Just becasue of 0 feedbacks. We all started with 0 feedbacks. I now have over 1350 positive f/b.my suggestion is, don't throw rocks before you have the facts!

Tate knows quite well as I happen to be the owner of the real cue, since he was my guiding light when I bought it. This phony Ebay seller even pilfered my exact language. This cue really is an amazing specimen of Palmer beauty.

I should have mentioned, the cue he is describing is a one-of-a-kind that was auctioned shortly ago, and he copied the wording verbatim:

I'm not letting these jerks get away with anything on the cue stuff if I can help it. It's like graffiti, the quicker it's removed the less likely it is to re-appear.

E-bay needs to tighten up on who they allow to sell, or they will lose all of the marginal credibility they have left. If nothing else, they need a valid verified credit card on file for any seller and a verified ID. It's to the point of absurdity.

Thanks, Poz - can you believe these guys?

I once sold a one-of-a-kind award winning art cue on E-Bay for some big bucks. A week or so later, the copycat ad appeared including pictures and all. The buyer of the cue freaked out and called the cue maker to see if he had made more of them. He thought I was selling production cues under aliases! I finally convinced him it was a copycat ad.

Thanks for the follow-up Chris. By no means was I attempting to throw stones, and I think you know that. I had a pretty fancy Mottey awhile back that was scammed about a million times. Walnut burl cue with abalone inlays. Anyway, thanks for the note.

I had many bids in hand that were higher than my reserve, but the $3200 local buyer had a death in his family and had to pass. I have seen lesser Palmers in fair condition sell far in excess of this one. I have $2800 in it myself and would be happy to make a fair premium. It is truly a gorgeous cue.

Thanks for refreshing my memory.
Saw the auction and followed it as well.
It is an awesome looking cue and I am sure that pictures will not do it justice.

Hopefully this cue will find a home.
