This morning at 10:21 AM.........

lol.. Our snooker room is open at noon. Our pool hall is 4pm. Never heard of a pool hall opening in the morning.

In Binghamton, NY, The Pocket Billiard Lounge opened at 10 am in 1973. A few years later, at 11 am. The players all came in the morning or early afternoon and most were gone by 7 pm. After I moved in '97 the new owner started opening at 5 pm. Now closed forever, I'm afraid.

The same thing happened to me, only different.
I was going to play a guy some One Pocket, and agreed to meet him in the pool hall at around six in the evening. Something came up and I couldn't make it.
About a year later I walked into the pool hall, and there he was. He looked at me and said, "So, what took you?".

I receive a text from one of my pool buddies who plays like burning hell and says that he will be at the pool room later this afternoon and wants to do some small stakes gambling.

I haven't been playing much [...]

So let's see, he'll be at the pool room later this afternoon, and you haven't been playing much lately...

Maybe we just talk in code....

The best part of this story is hearing about a pool room open at 10:00 AM. Wish we had one of those around here, they all open at 1.

Our pool room is open 24 hours per day. You can get your fix any time you need it.

Well, I guess you're suggesting that people who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw rocks? Or maybe everything is just relative.

pool players liars?

This reminds me of a time when I was at work on a construction job and something flew into my eye and I couldn't get it out; I was sent to an "eye" clinic where the doc told me I had a scratched eyeball, and he put some drops or something on the eyeball. After that I went down to the pool place I usually played, and some guy I knew and played before asked me to play some. Of course, my vision was a bit blurry from the stuff the doc put in my eye, and I said so.........of course, he laughed and didn't believe me. I played him anyway and managed to win, so he forever after told the story of how I tried to hustle him about the blurry vision.....

I'm going to take a photo of the door lock on my pool room and post it in this thread.

I used to work at a room that was 24/365, I often did the 2am-10am shift.
We had to throw a guy out one night and he came storming back in. We tossed him again and when I went to lock the door, the was no lock core on that damn door.
