Careful you don't get cited for a weird form of sandbagging :shocked:

It's cool if you feel it helps you focus, but there's no question it's worse than a standard cue and therefore you're going to take more innings to win. You might even lose matches you'd otherwise win. Arguably this unfairly affects your handicap, since you can switch to a real cue when it counts.

its just the opposite creedo. the last match i played with it was a 9 ball match i won against abother 5 in 12 innings. score was 38-32.

i average around 16 innings in 9 ball matches i win. usually average around 12 innings in matches i lose " because they are running out on me ". so the last match i used my breaker i won in 4 innings less than my average.

i am telling you i never mis cued and i never missed an easy shot like i have been prone to do lately with my player.

you are correct about switching cues. i used my breaker on every shot except one rack when my opponent missed the 8 and left the cue ball behind the 9. the 9 was only partialy blocking the cue balls path to the 8 by about a 1/4 inch. i had 2 options kick or masse.

no way was i going to attempt a masse with my breaker and i did not like my kick option so i used my player and pocketed the 8 and the 9 with my player. i then finished my match with the breaker.

i dont know what 5/s in other divisions in my area or in other cities for that matter average but in my division it seems like our 5,s average 12 - 18- innings per match. yea i know some days they are higher and other days are lower but thats about average here.

For those of you that are complaining about loriders threads always being about league, I wonder what you expect. And if league talk bothers you, why do you click on it? Obviously, you have a good idea what he will talk about. Why go into the thread, only to b*tch about it?

Seems counter-intuitive, to me. There are literally dozens of other threads, every day. League is a big part of many people's pool life, so its a valid topic for many. If it isn't for you, cool, go talk about gambling, chalk, pocket size, why SVB is so much better than Mike Dechaine, whatever floats it for you... Adding strife for the sake of it is more tiresome than another league thread, at least to me...

I stated in the other thread...I think lorider is a decent dude.

I also stated that I notice a commonality between many of his threads.

I believe that he could be a better player if he stopped seeing so much of what happens as 'luck' or himself somehow being victimized.

lorider--I did read the whole thing. I think it is actually an interesting concept, especially if used correctly.

I did something similar, I put a G10 tip on a playing cue and was surprised at how well I could play with it.

as for the common theme in threads.

after dwelling on it it i can see your point. most times i seem to vent about things that frustrate me in league. for the most part i really enjoy league just seem to vent on here when i have a bad day. lemme work on that.

now i could come on here and brag about my latest conquest every week at league but that aint me. i dont need to come on here and stroke my ego so to speak. i could tell you about going undefeated in both the 8 ball and 9 ball tri cups, i could tell you about being down 12-2 against a 7 and come back to win 38-41.

i have a lot more of those type stories also but like i say , i am not that type of person.

as fot the g 10 ferule , i think i am going to continue using it till i get my focus down to where i do the same thing with my player consistently.

to all of you negative nellies on here.

i am just like a bunch of you. i played pool quite a bit in my younger days. i quit for 20 some odd years to raise a family and have a career.

i got back into pool a few years ago. since then i have joined several leagues, a 1st for me. i am single" have a gf that plays pool also". my kids are grown and scattered across the usa. so i have a lot of time on my hands to play league 5 nights a week. well i do have a job still .:wink:

i enjoy posting on here my league experiences and would like to hear about your experience.

i made a lighthearted jab in my post to another poster ...yea i know it was a very long winded jab. it seemed to irk some of you off.

now i could be like some of you... i could open a thread about chalk and bithch.. not another damn chalk thread, but i dont do it, i just close it out and move on.

the same with threads on cues, tips what the best so and so. long winded posts , etc etc, but i dont do it.

now i could tell all of you to get a life .... but then i could also look in the mirror and tell myself to get a life besides league and posting on this forum.:wink:
