I'm using Photoshop. It's close to a 200 step process to convert this image from a photo, into what you see. It's done digitally, with a computer. Although, a lot of 'hand' work is required also.

Thanks for the compliments!

You need to ....

Send it to Deno with an attached message. If they sell it, you would be entitled to royalty rights, otherwise they may just post it on their website.

The "Natural Cures" on the table reduces the impact of the picture. Remove the ad letters from the pic and it will be alot better. Review your photoshop material and it will tell you the same thing. C'mon, it aint that tough, I've done hundreds and I'm a j-off when it comes to photoshop.

I intentionally left the advertisement on the table, trying to draw attention to one of (if not) the biggest sponsors in pool. (matter of fact, I even cleaned it up a little, so it would be more legible.)

Your right, it's a pretty easy task to eliminate it.

I appreciate your advice, and thoughts!

Gabesmom....It was my pleasure! I hope Gabe gets hot and wins one! (that way he can fly you back out to another tournament!) Hope to see you down the road!

Great Pic., move image to the right a little, then adjust blue strip on right. Really captures his intensity. I really like the image.

I hope the players are benefiting from their name/ likeness being the source of someone else's profit. I was filming a match between Gabe and another player playing 1 pocket last April and was approached by a fellow who introduced himself as Gabe's sports agent. He proceeded to inform me that selling the videos I was recording would almost certainly bring legal action against me. BTW, I have never sold any of them before or after that incident.

I saw your display at the BCA at the Riviera last May and was really impressed. You do fantastic work. Just make sure you protect yourself so that you don't end up in court. Respectfully, I hope I'm not rubbing you the wrong way. Just food for thought.

Doesn't Dianne Hoppe do the same thing? She sells tons of stuff and I have never heard of her having a problem. I think as long as Rick owns the image, bought or taken, there isn't much they can do. These are celebs (OMG) in a public forum, don't think there are any privacy issues here. Consider the tabloids that publish photos every month. I think your OK, as long as you have the rights to the pictures.

I'm not really sure what Diane Hoppe does or doesn't do with her photos. She may be selling tons of stuff and never had a problem. In and of itself, that doesn't make it legal. As I said, I don't have a clue what she does with her photos.

The difference between the newspapers and magazines and commercial sales of photos is newspapers and magazines are protected under the Constitutional right to freedom of the press. They are not solely printing pictures for commercial use. Thorsten has no grounds. This is why Diane can sell pictures to magazines and websites to report the pool "news."

However, if I were to try to sell a pic of Thorsten solely for commercial use and financial profit using his name and/or likeness, Thorsten will win in court everytime, regardless of whether I use Photoshop to alter the picture.
