Should I start the trend of screaming out loud in carom? The game of Carom wouldn't know what hit it.
Every 50 point jump on the table?

Being a heart patient, I have tried beta blockers about 30 years ago for a particular heart condition, I couldn't stand them because they would make me quite sour in disposition, but they do have the ability to take the edge off of one's nerves. They are a prescription medicine so you would have to get that from your primary care doctor. I know most people have difficulty with nerves, and I noticed what others do to help with the situation. Some smoke a little bit of weed, some a small dose of anti-anxiety medicine (Xanax or clonazepam), earphones/music. What can help is the knowledge that everybody has to deal with anxiety to a certain degree. A difficult thing for a human to do is putting your skillset on display in front of many others to scrutinize, it's sort of like public speaking.Since it seems we've already gone down the path, a very well known and commonly used 'aid' for musicians, singers, actors, etc. is a simple small dose Beta Blocker, a group of blood pressure medicines. They are not a controlled substance and very easy to get for us more seasoned players! They keep your heart from racing and all the other physical issues that go with that without fogging your brain.
They talk about the iceberg profile but seriously, pool shouldn't be a hardcore clandestine op. Don't get involved over the line, over your head. The rest is just piddling sht better ignored.Age old question that players at every level including professionals in every sport ask themselves… how to deal with pressure? You are not alone. A topic that merits a book.
Do they still make ‘em. Last time I had one I had a long conversation with a tree.Address please!!![]()
Poor mic discipline. They moved away from the mics and the volume didn't change! I'm about 85 percent certain they're lip-synching!Sounds like a recipe for this...
Pretty sure only the last few seconds were what they really did. Wish they'd move away from the mic thenPoor mic discipline. They moved away from the mics and the volume didn't change! I'm about 85 percent certain they're lip-synching!
Like who?Yeah. Melodic Death Metal is My goto.![]()

Bunch of euro snooker players got nailed for using those yrs back. Bunch of ultra-chill zombies who just played a TAD to well for the liking of those in charge. I took em once for some heart/anxiety issues. They work, too well imo. No way i could compete behind them.Since it seems we've already gone down the path, a very well known and commonly used 'aid' for musicians, singers, actors, etc. is a simple small dose Beta Blocker, a group of blood pressure medicines. Interesting story back then involving Bill Werbeniuk taking beta blockers for his shakes from drinking. He was the King of Beers and would down a bunch of pints before, during and after playing. His avg intake was at least 45 pints/dayBunch of euro snooker players got nailed for using those yrs back. 45 pints is damn near 70 bottles of beer. As a one off hero day, maybe. As an average?... guy wouldnt live long enough for anyone to learn his name.Interesting story back then involving Bill Werbeniuk taking beta blockers for his shakes from drinking. You're absolutely correct sir. I'm on them since a Widowmaker came calling and I can slide into the zone (hate that word) with ease on these meds. They do all the work for you.
