I looked at this used table but cannot find any info online.
Thin brass plate down low on the apron (not a good pic) says Highland Billiards. Owner said he purchased locally from a billiard supply that is no longer in business (Dallas area).

I have a pic of the underside.
Any thoughts regarding quaility - asking $750
The cushions seem good, cloth in good shape.
How's the construction below look?

Looks decent built, but the frame of the table says nothing about the construction of the rails, but it looks like it'd be worth the asking price:smile:

"For best results" I suggest you get a hold of shane to move and set up the table for you if you decide to buy, you can look him up at the top of the talk to a mechanic section in the pool table mechanic directory..
That table looks sturdy' but ask him about looking the table over for you if your not sure about it'
Enjoy,

no way that table is worth $750 used. It's obviously a low quality china imported table. stay away, there too many good tables out there at that price in the used market.

SD - not disagreeing; just looking to learn...

What is it that is obvious that it's a low quality table?
I'm pretty much a novice so assume what may be obvious to a trained eye is not to someone not in the know.

Table seemed straight with solid wood and straight liners under the slate.
Glen seems to think the frame looked fair. Please let me know what your seeing if you do not mind.

these are the red flags for me.

1. Crossmembers don't match the slate liner.
2. The slate liner material, and the quality table that generally come with this slate.
3. Vertical wood on inside of main frame, I don't even want to begin to think what the designer that he needed those.
4. Horizontal grooves on the inside of the frame.
5. The piano finish on the legs.
6. Metal corner brackets, and that thing above the metal corner bracket.
7. And just the overall workmanship.

3-4 years ago these chinese imported tables were a big business for me, glad to say those days are gone.

I can appreciate the GC; 'form follows function'.
I realize that can be rebuilt to a beautiful table but the wife is set on a furniture style table as this will be in our main room of the house.
