thread about focus pills?

focus pills? you will only need more over time. There is not a pill in the world that will give you more focus than to work out and maintain proper nutrition. You will see a near instantaneous result after doing this for one week if you weren't doing so already. Also, do some meditation. What happens to your body has a direct result to what happens in your mind. You cannot take a pill and expect to have better focus. You might have an imbalance of chemicals in your body that will be aided by a pill, but that is not a solution.

Focusing is a skill. People are walking around 'out of focus' all the time and are so caught up in the ways of power that they lose their perception.

The hard part is understanding this simple fact. People want to avoid this altogether because of a lack of discipline.

I could not have said it better myself. As someone who was diagnosed with ADD as a child and adult, I have spent a fair amount of my life on assorted drugs that were suppose to help me.

Two years ago when yet another doctor wanted me to change to yet another combination of drugs etc. I finally snapped. I said no, I am not taking all these pills anymore, all they do is mess me up. I quit taking all the drugs cold.

I started researching a lot on the web for alternative treatments. I found a wealth of information.

I can't emphasize enough the positive results of physical exercise. I live 15 miles from work. I ride my bicycle to/from work all year on average of 3 times a week. When I drive I park at the far end of the lot so I have to walk the maximum distance. Once or twice a week I perform some weight lifting using some dumb bells and some of big elastic bands.

The other thing is eat good. I avoid processed food. To many chemicals and junk. Get natural and organic foods and cook. Processed food is junk and should be avoided at all costs.

Use good supplements. I take a good multivitamin, omega fish oils, flaxseed oil, gensing, ginko biloba.

The thread you are talking about discussed a pharmaceutical that is used to help people calm down and give better speeches, but I don't know which pill they were using. It is in the search engine somewhere.
The drug you are describing is called Propanonol. It's used for performance anxiety and helps you relax in stresssful situations.

It's also one of the world's most widely prescribed medications, used for reducing blood pressure. Essentially it is a beta-blocker which inhibits the flight-fight release of adrenaline when under stress. So it kind of makes the player fearless, which helps them focus better. It's adrenaline that tightens up the body and makes you feel like you're gonna choke on the shot.

Some anti-depressent drugs have similar effects in terms of lowering the tendency to produce adrenaline. Most stimulants, such as caffeine, gingko, ginseng etc are likely to increase the tendency for the player to become agitated, stressed (high adrenaline) imho.

Heres a pic of 15mg Desoxyn. The backside said MF & you know what that means & the pill was exactly that. Originally made for narcolepsy but highly abused by diet doctors in the 60's & 70's. Monster pool pill with very little crash unless you drank way too much. AUTO FOCUS

Never heard of Desoxyn have you?

Had a guy I knew back in the 80's give me a couple. Told me for my size, I probably only needed about a half of one. They were really small, kinda hard to cut into. One tourney they made me a little jittery, and I didn't play too well. But I took a half one a couple of times, and ran so many racks it was sick. The guy I was playing quit putting the rack away, just stood there and held it. I could see where that would become a habit for some people. I just never cared for the juicing up part. I figured if I can play like that on those, I should be able to play like that straight. I have a couple of times, but it's rare.
