Thread Size Opinions

The #7 is a radial pin, the #4 is a 3/8x10 thread. The #4 is most common than the #7. Most of the McDermott have it. IMO, the hit will be almost the same between these 2 threads. Now, your choice will depend if you soon have compatible shaft for on of these model.

i think the radial pin is the better quality of the two, though both will probably feel pretty similar during play. the radial pin is machined very accurately and is very smooth. also you get more contact between the thread and screw.
