Dani Sanchez, Semih Sayginer, and Sung Won Choi have signed contracts with the PBA, joining Caudron, Leppens, Kasidokostas, and a myriad of others in the Korean competitor to UMB. The 3-cushion world is more fractured now than ever. Hopefully, the two groups will soon come to an agreement, enabling everyone to play in both. There are 52 weeks in a year and about 14 or 15 events combined. Please, gentlemen, end the madness!

I know the UMB sanctions players who play PBA events. Does the PBA sanction players who play UMB events?

That is big news.

Th PBA has deep pockets and I hope the longer run sees a more unified pro environment.
(Or at least a mutually beneficial one from/for UMB/ PBA)

Howdy;

We talkin' about something like the PGA v LIV in golf?

hank
Both the PGA and LIV have very deep pockets. In the billiard world, the PBA has deep pockets but UMB does not. A World Cup victory is worth, I believe, $16,000. Most of the UMB players have regular jobs, save for a few of the elite. Playing in World Cup tournaments and their country’s championship is a hobby, not a career.

albatross, Howdy;

I was going more towards the who can play under which banner or both.
These kinds of "Labor" disputes are only showing what selfish, could say
narcissistic, organizations who think their poop don't stink try to rule the roost.
Afraid that any competition and monies made belong them and them alone.
PATHOOY on them.

Nobody can play under both banners. However, in the world of professional golf, the LIV golfers can play in the four majors.

All the best young players are Asian. UMB going the way of the moah bird.
The final of the World Junior 3-cushion championship, that included Vietnamese and Korean youngsters, was played between a Greek and a Turk. The UMB's future looks pretty bright. You're 0 for 2, as usual.
