Thursday 2013 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship Thread

That depends on the opponent.

I think what separate the champions from the others is their ability to get in the zone. When you're in the zone, nobody should be able to take you out of the zone.

I understand the reasons for who oppose Earl's antics tableside. I like Earl, though, and consider him a friend. I understand where he's coming from most times, too.

We all have our faves, I guess. I was pulling for Fabio to win, but he got spanked by Shane. :frown:

every single break in the Deuel and Morris match it seems like the 9 ball ends up right in front of the corner pocket for an easy combo. I don't like this at all

Well, it wasn't every time, but it was quite a few and, as you indicate, unfortunate.

Seven of the 19 games ended in a combo on the 9-ball in that same pocket -- 5 by Deuel and 2 by Morris.

The powers that be recognized that and "worked on" the table a bit after the match. We'll see how it goes in the upcoming match.

Maybe it was a buzzer table. :D [joking, of course]

Who do you like here with Oliver and Darren? Do you think this will be a close one?

Some excellent match-ups now at 4 p.m. Check it out!

Bartram wins the first game. :happydance::happydance::happydance:

Shorty up 2-1 over Van-Van.

Oliver over Darren, 1-zip.

This Kuwaiti, Omar, is the dark horse to watch. 2-zip over B. Tatum.

Archer makes two spectacular shots to take the first rack. Looking really strong. 1-0 JA

Aaron

I always like Johnny in any game he plays. :smiling-heart:

Keith might have to cook his own dinner tonight. I can't leave the computer now.

Oliver, to-zip, over Darren.

The Karl Boyle and Can Wang match is still going on, 7 to 5. WOW!

Uh-oh, Bartram and Feijen, 1-1
