Thursday 2013 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship Thread

Bennett was out from *everywhere*, and had the demeanor of a killer (but actually had the look of a nice guy if that makes any sense). It would be cool to see this mostly unknown go far!

We know the "other" Keith well. Played him at Carolinas Open on the bar box for a nickel. My Keith came out on top this time. :)

We like Keith. He's good pool peeps! :cool:

Speaking of Keith, he's up 8 to 4 now.

Darren crawling back to 4 against my Oliver at 5.

Go Bartram, 5 to 3 over Niels.

Karl Boyes beats Can Wang on the double hill. Wang goes to the side of the chart.
 
Van-Van on the hill against Shorty, 10 to 7.

Appleton and Ortmann tied at 5-5.
 
If Bartram wins, he plays the winner of Ortmann and Appleton on the A side of the chart.
 
After two dry breaks in a row, Jason changed sides, and the 9 did not go toward a corner pocket.

The other Keith is now 9 over Thorsten's 4. WOW!

Bartram at 6, Niels 3. Smooth criminal is on a roll!

Thank you, Scorekeeper, for taking yoru time on putting up the scores and allowing me to prepare my chicken and veggies. Keith doesn't have to eat a TV dinner now.

Oliver pulls out by a nose in this race to 11 with Darren, 7-6.
 
It happened again in the final game. Johnny made a couple of balls on the break, then the 1, then the 2/9 combo with the 9-ball hanging in the jaws.

Tommy has the heart of a lion. Most people don't know this guy won more tournaments back in the 80's playing the Florida tour. He won three in a row once that I know of and we are talking about super tough fields.
