Tiger Cue

I would like some opinions on Tiger cues, don't hear much about them on this site thanks.

They are just not very popular as full cues, shafts and tips are more common to see. I like their shafts, don't think I have seen a full cue in person or played with one though.

i picked up a sneaky pete from them last yr an older discontinued one, ebony and ph super solid contruction very very nice cue

I also have a sneaky purchased in Canada with custom leather wrap over 10yrs old i think plays great (thanks for replies)

I acquired one of their fortis carbon fiber shafts. It is really well made and plays great if you like cf shafts. It is spun carbon so has a different tactile feel to it than something like a Revo. Not sure I would consider that a plus or a minus, just different for people with preferences.

Tony is one of the good people in the industry and puts a lot of work and care into his products.

I'm gonna try out one of those pretty butterfly cues they have, a bit overpriced but wth

I think that is the issue with the brand, they seem to come off as a general high production brand but with higher end prices in line with a Mezz or Schon. I don't think I have even seen Tiger recommended for a cue where Mezz, Schon, Pechauer, Jacoby, Joss, McDermott, etc.. are, even though the price range and quality may be as good as the other brands. It's only when someone asks specifically about the brand that I see it mentioned. Marketing flaw maybe? I have never heard anything bad about them, and I like the shafts I tried from them, but it just seems to fall through the cracks or the players mindset.

I bet if we did a survey of brands people have high opinion of in pool, or even a good opinion of, Tiger would be one of the lowest mentioned ones. Like a state that everyone forgets exists LOL, everyone knows CA, MA, NY, FL, TX but there are a bunch of others that many people just never think of. When was the last time the country went "what are those nuts in Wyoming up to now?" LOL

I have 2 Tiger Carom cues. They both are just fine to play with.
I'd just rather play with my Dieckman's

I would have picked up a TH-4 a while back but the special pin kept me from trying it. Love a lot of what they have, just wish they'd have different pin options.

It's a Tiger 'radial' AFAIK for lack of my technical knowledge. So a regular radial won't fit as I understand it.

Thanks for the info, i purchased my sneaky about 10 yrs ago at that time it was a Tiger radial hits great.

Everything that comes out of the Tiger shop is top class.
Boom! You got that right. In the three years that Dennis played with a Tiger cue (and won multiple events) I got to see first hand the care that went into the making of all Tiger cues. Tony used only the best woods and his craftsmen were highly competent and had been with him for decades. Tony was always diligent in his desire to constantly improve his product in any way possible. I still have the cue he gave to me and it's not for sale!

One more thing and a very important one at that. Tony believes in good customer service and he stands behind all his products 100%. It's hard to find anyone who has a bad word to say about him, he is so honorable.
