Is the change to the dress code up for discussion?;)
What did they change??

What the heck do you care, you're not playing in 'em anymore. :p

Sadly I can't make it this weekend. :( Ya'll have fun & best of luck to everyone.

For anybody who does make the trek down Route 50 to Cambridge, MD, it's a pleasant drive this time of year. Great Slates is a state-of-the-art billiard parlor, with a full restaurant, bar, and plenty of space to sit back and enjoy the show. And then there's that comfortable adjacent off-track-betting facility just a few steps away, providing some with an opportunity to enjoy a little side action.

I'm not sure if it's off season now, but I highly recommend, if you have never done so, to splurge a little and stay up the street at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf, Resort, and Marina. Check it out: http://chesapeakebay.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp

I may be stuck at home doing my taxes this weekend, but I'm looking forward to reading all about it. Pooky has always shot well at Great Slates in Cambridge on the Gabriel tables, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him make a cameo appearance this weekend, maybe taking a little hiatus away from his beloved Internet poker. ;)

Here's a favorite picture of mine taken in front of Great Slates. It is hard to discern from the reduced-pixel image, but Keith's hands are filthy with blue chalk from shooting pool. He had a blast playing in the tournament and then winning 2 dimes at the OTB on our last visit. Needless to say, Keith gives Great Slates a huge thumbs-up! :D

Sorry I can't make it this time. I've got yardwork that needs done and this is going to be my only free weekend. Good luck to everyone and see you all at the next one.

I'll be flipping a coin when I wake up Sunday morning. . . heads I do, tails I don't.

See you Saturday for a bit though.

Cue Repair

Ceci, Nick or Andy,
Will anyone be there doing cue repair. I have a problem with my shaft (Walter, insert joke here).

You didn't have a problem when you were playing with it last nite.

Thanks BB, right on cue (no pun). Your wife didn't mind it when she took a few strokes  J U S T K I D D I N G

I suppose she's not letting you out of the cage this weekend, huh? I'll try to provide some updates if I can.

The last time they were in Cambridge, Todd Elkins was there. Not sure if he will be this time or not.

When I spoke to Todd some time ago, he said he thought someone would be doing cue repair at almost all tour stops. It may be Todd or Rick, or someone else, but someone should be there.
Hopefully, I'm passing on good information.

Ceci has confirmed that Todd Elkins of Parrot Cues will be onsite.

Timberly you sweet thing. you are always full of a wealth of knowledge for us poor people here on the board. keep up the great work..........mike

Hi All,

Tournament underway with 63 players. Just 8 tables so lots of waiting!

Dennis Hatch plays Mike Davis around 9:30 or 10 tonight. Sparky Ferrel plays Shaun Wilkie same time.

Mapman72 beat me! Guess he worked out his shaft problems.

The chart so far is up on http://www.planet-pool.com

More later!

Holy moly, those matches will make for some good competition.

I see Josh Brothers is still on the winners' side as well. He said that winning on the Tiger/PP 9-Ball Tour last time gave him a boost of confidence, enabling him to win a big one at SBE in Valley Forge this year.

Thanks for the update to us inquiring minds back home. :)
