Tiger products

All the tips are quite different. I haven't tried the Onyx yet, but here is my take on their tips:

Sniper= a very nice tip- medium hardness. A lot of people like this tip, and can get good action on the CB. Somewhat prone to delaminating however.

Everest= a rather hard tip. I am prone to miscue with this tip. However a lot of players like this tip. It is now being used as the standard tip on Preadator cues as well as McDermott G-core and many others.

Tiger= an average tip, comes in soft medium and hard. The soft is the same color as Sniper and seems to play very similar to me.

Emerald= An absolute sleeper tip. A medium tip with very nice grab. For the price, this is by far the best laminated tip on the market- Pechauer is now using this tip on their Pro series cues. I think Tiger may have shot themselves in the foot on this one, I think this tip is as good as the Sniper and it costs about 80% less. Supposedly made from recycled materials too!

Hope that helps!

They manufacture most laminated tips, under many name brands, kinda like Tweeten making both Master and Triangle cue chalk. Is it a Mercury or a Lincoln? Which "tiger" lamented product is the best? Their VACULAM process seems to be the cat's meow? Nice marketing.... They deserve every penny they earn.

I'm a big fan of Tiger products. I use their Onyx tip and it's perfect for my game. It's medium firm and stays that way. They don't last as long as a Sniper or Everest.

Tiger is constantly improving their products to meet customer demands. Tony tries very hard to do the right thing and it shows up in the excellence of their final product.
