So i just got my shaft back from Tiger its a mezz wd700 i just wanted a new ferrule but i also got the emerald tip. Ive had the everest tip, sniper tip and now the emerald tip and you know they just feel kind of lifeless. Their tips just don't really give me the feeling or ping that moori III's give me i do wanna try the kumai black tips though they sound pretty solid.

Try M.Hard from Madman tips if you in the L.A area go to All Romero

you may want to try a tiger med. feels like a moori, but a touch softer. everest aren't what they used to be, emerald feel dry to me. Or if you like the moori, why change?

Well its clear you prefer a hard tip that pings...nothing wrong with that, many players like that "hit". The Everest & Sniper are definately not going to produce that hard of a hit...not close. As for the Tiger line of tips then the one I'd suggest for you would be the Tiger hard. Plays great, holds chalk, doesn't mushroom, and a very crisp sound you'll be pleased with.
As for Tiger tips overall...its well known among cuemakers/repair men that they are the highest quality ever offered. Absolute top shelf. I've never had any problems with any Tiger tips...I can't say that about others. Plus when you have questions...like some do about the tricky Sniper correct install...then they are a phone call away from talking a lost soul to success. The performance can't be beat either. The Sniper & Everest are two of the best performing tips ever made.

the reason why i took it to tiger is b/c their close and the fact that i needed a new ferrule. But when i was looking at the emerald it seemed good but like i said their tips just feel like their isnt any life to them. I still a fan of their shafts and cues just not their tips. I think ill stay with moori until saul butera gets the kamui black's he's trying to get. Then i can try those out i hear they out do moori's but we'll see :grin-square:
