Tiger's clutch puts, pool equivalent??

IMO, none. Until there are millions on the line with one shot in pool I don't see it being equal. Talk about nerves of steel vs. the ultimate ass pucker.
It may have been an easy putt by pro standard but I wonder how many think it's that easy with all that riding on it?

this isn't really reasonable, because the winnings he earns at a tournament are like pocket change to you and I. Tiger doesn't feel ANY pressure because of the money. I'm not sure Tiger feels anything... like I said, not human yet the MAN.

the money?

Tiger doesn't care if that tourney paid him 1 million or 20 bucks to win....the pressure he feels is put on himself. He's not chasing dough, he's chasing history. He wants to win regardless of what it pays. If you were to ask him if he'd rather win 10 more majors at 2 million a piece, or 20 more at a thousand dollars a piece; he'll take the 20. I realize he already has a GAZILLION dollars, but that man is DRIVEN to be the best there ever was. He wants EVERY record (most wins, most majors, largest margin of victory, etc. etc. etc.), and he'd do anything to get there (even if it meant forgoing the cash). That all said, the money is a nice little bonus on the way to the history books, LOL :joyful:

How many pro golfers besides Tiger get paid just to ATTEND certain tournaments? He's probably even turned some of those down.....

If Michael Jordan is the best in basketball. Then Tiger Woods is ten times better then everyone in Golf. Everyone else is playing for 2nd. The amount of focus that he has is crazy. I think a sick masse shot would be the same as a great putt.

in my opinion, Tiger Woods is no less than 2x as dominant and 2x as impressive than Michael Jordan ever was. That could garner some flames, but Tiger Woods does it by himself and no one has ever had the ability to just make their opponents fold like Tiger.

i think tiger woods clutch tendancies in the final rounds can only be compared to one pool player and thats mike sigel. sigel had an unheard of winning percentage when he played in the finals of any tournament back in his prime.

Some Tiger stuff

Highest winning percentage's on the PGA Tour:
Player Percentage (wins / starts)
Tiger Woods 27.36% (55 out of 201)
Ben Hogan 20.7% (61 of 294)
Byron Nelson 17.8% (50 of 281)
Sam Snead 14.9% (81 of 549
Jack Nicklaus 12.2% (73 of 594)
Billy Casper 9.2% (51 of 556)
Arnold Palmer 8.4% (62 of 734)

He is the greatest putter EVER. Guys I know that play golf 50yrs say it cant last forever ala Crenshaw, Nicklaus but they dont know when it will end or even slow down.

Any pool player in history with stats even close? Efren or Earl, maybe...Shane if he stays on pace maybe.

Voodoo~~~knows the longest yard in sports is a 3' putt

Bobby Jones wasn't too shabby either. I think his winning percentage is higher, but the pressure of winning and dealing with millions of fans exhausted him. I know he was an amateur, but his record in the majors he played in was pretty scary.

Tiger seems to grow stronger with every victory.

Wu's comeback in the world championship was tiger-like in my opinion.
