Tight joint

When I screw one of my shafts into the butt of the cue, it is really tight, and hard to unscrew. Is there anything I can put on the pin to make it go in easier, and not effect the cue. My other shaft goes in fine. They are both original shafts. It is a Hunter cue. Thanks for your help.

Just apply some wax to the inside threads of the tight shaft.

You can use a paste floor wax, like what is typically used to seal and wax shafts, or you can also use something as simple as chapstick. To apply it, you can put some inside the opening and then screw the cue together several times to spread it out, or you can spread the wax out inside the hole with a cotton swab.

I think you will be surprised at how well this works.
