Just wanted to let everyone know that I made a trip up to see Marcus aka FAST N LOOSE here on the boards with Eric aka JEEVES. It was for their weekly 9 ball tournament. For never playing there before I was naturally ranked higher, due to the old cliche' of robbing small tourneys. I was a little upset and let this be known I'm sure, in a tasteful manner. If I did not I apologize to Marcus and the Tight Pocket's Family. I managed to place 4th. Main content of my post is to let anyone within a hour of East Stroudsburg to deff check out his tournements, top notch guy with a TOP NOTCH billiard hall. I will be making the trip hopefully once or twice a month depending on work related issues.

I was giving up weight that I have NEVER given up. Jeeves and I play at my home and we play just about dead even, but in the tournament I was giving him the 7. I've never given anyone the 7 in my life....lol....
 
Well I usually look at it this way when I go to a new room for a tournament. You are an unknown and need to establish your speed, but it's all going to work out if you keep playing in the tourneys.

BTW.. congrats on taking 4th.

Thanks....I will tell you this much, it made me think a little more on my shot and position selections. Either way KUDO's once again to Marcus and his billiard family!!!
 
Thanks For The Plug Dave, I Appreciate It. Your Rating May Go Down A Notch, We'll See What Happens, But You Need To Remember I Have Several People That Play In My Tourney That Are Just Learning The Game, That's Why Some Of The Matches Have Heavy Spots.

And Like You Said, I Can't Let Someone Playing In The Tourney For The First Time Come In And Win It. My Regulars Would Tear Me Apart.

I was ranked at a good place as well

for my skill set in 9ball. The games that dave and I play at his house, I don't have the butterflies there. I do expect to do better next time. I need more tournament experience and time on table. I was the next to first person to exit the tournament. I will look forward to my next game.

If your screen name is your real name I think I know you from D&D in Thorndale, Mickey Scott's place. Since this is a PA related thread I would like to get to know some AZB Pa players.

If this is Kevin, I am looking for games in this area so if you know some of the people on the forum hook me up, please no top-top speed guys. If this is the Kevin, he will know how I play. Just looking to play some different competition.

Do you ever hold any Saturday or Sunday tournaments? It's to far for me to travel for the Tuesday night tourneys. I do plan to make a trip to your room regardless as I am anxiuos to see the place.

NOT YET, BUT THAT'S A GOOD IDEA. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED IF I DO....

EVEN IF THERE IS NO TOURNEY THERE ARE ALWAYS GUYS TO PLAY.

I have been wanting to get up to Yankee Club for a long time. That Saturday might fit right in my schedule. Since Mickey has a tournament every week the attendence has been poor and I have to drive 45 mins to get there. I liked it much better when he had 1 a month and everybody made sure to show up. I just might see you the 19th thanks for the heads up.

IF I KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO BET, I'M SURE I CAN GET SOMEBODY IN TO GET YOU A GAME.....YOU LOOKING TO BET BIG? I GOT A FEW GUYS THAT DON'T MIND THAT.

No I don't bet high, 50 to 7 or 100 to 9 sets, maybe higher if I like the game. I'll play one pocket, 14.1 and 8/9/10 ball as well. I just like some honest good solid action, and I am good action in that range. Anyone who is willing to bet real high I probably know somehow and probably don't want to play. I didn't want to come across like I was looking for big action, but down here 50 or 100 sets are usually not just found walking into a room. Maybe you have alot of players that like to bet and it is more frequent. Anyway I have your number in my phone, I will give you a call sometime and we can talk.

I JUST WANTED TO BE SURE HOW HIGH YOU WERE TALKING. AS LONG AS I KNOW YOUR COMING, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET YOU GOOD ACTION.

HELL, I CAN'T PLAY, BUT FOR 50, I MAY GIVE YOU A TRY.
