When do Pool Players STOP supporting piss-in games?? It teaches bad form and practice habits... You get what you deserve playing 9 ball piss in anything type games.... The US is playing bad enough as it is. Plus no one, in professional pool likes to win (or lose) with this format. The 'I don't care-flip a coin' attitude that 9 ball (Texas Express) offers is NOT good for pool or NATIONAL PRIDE.

Make Change happen now!!...We (pool players) are the only way to better this sport and learn to practice (Perfect Practice) a professional level game. Stop supporting garbage pool. Just my opinion.

Totally with you on this. Here we are, getting all excited about watching the best players on two continents playing the luckiest game ever devised, and folks are whining about the 4 1/2" "buckets" making it too easy?

Hell, did you hear what Feijen said after the match with Bergman regarding the 9 he lucked in? "I couldn't get shape on the 4, so I figured I'd give the 9 as much action as I could and see what happened." Riding the 9. Sounds like pure skill to me.

Lets make a basketball hoop twice as big and see how many people watch it when it's a joke. that's what this is. my valley is a little tighter then your average bar box but it plays worlds tougher then this for sure

The fact is every sport has made provisions to make scoring easier ,, they don't need to make the hoop bigger the players are a foot taller than they were when basketball first started ,, Hockey went to no 2 line offsides and smaller goalie pads , baseball moved the fences in ,, football no touching receivers after 5 yrds and don't dare touch the QB ,

I have a Diamond Pro Am with 4 1/8 in pockets. Some of these balls they are shooting into the Rail would NEVER GO!!

These are the Allegedly the best both Countrys have to offer.. WHY NOT MAKE THEM PLAY.

Keep in mind, this Mosconi Cup works/sells because its Entertainment plain and simple....it's target market is NOT pool players and that's why its successful. This is not match play like the US Open, to expect that is silly. Barry Hearns marketing design is NOT targeted towards those concerned about pocket size.
To me USA's biggest obstacles is the inherent nature of our American players, it's Always been about the money, or NOT making the money you should have. This mindset doesn't seem prevalant in the European Snooker Culture which is mature and evolved, we are NOT there yet. Mark will learn ALLOT from this year, and next year will be even that much more fun. Hell I waited over ''twenty 5'' years for my home team here to finally win the super bowl.:thumbup:

Don't take it personal. There's always some people that think they know more than you. As far as your original post I think these guys should have been practicing together for more than what they did for this event and. I agree with your pocket size idea.

I have the same table. On a shallow angle length of table cut into the corner if you use to much draw the ball will not go. come up half a tip and the ball goes every time. I have driven myself mad shooting that shot with extreme low and never making it. Best players in the world im sure make that shot 60% but thats not good for TV. JMHO ohhh and btw i agree with you if i didnt id have bought a GC.
