How ya doing?

I have a question, I have enjoyed every pic you have posted for the past year or two. You have a collection that is amazing. What I want to know is, of all the cues which one is your favorite. I know its hard to say, I have a lot of cues to choose from too and reasons why each one could be my favorite. But in my case my rosewood/rosewood GSB Hoppie cue-I had Poohkiller make a thread for it(since i'm not bright enough to post pics:o) is my favorite.

There has to be a favorite in there and I just wondered which one it is.

thanks,

eric

Eric,

I truly believe that we are both on opposite ends of the collectors spectrum. You seem to be a guy that plays all the time, and has played with every single cue you have. Which is great, and i love reading all your comments on playability, and everything else. You have said so many times that nothing plays like your Gus cues, so to pick a favorite would be easier than for me.

I on the other hand, play only about an hour a week. Most of the cues that I have, were never chalked, or played with by me. I have bought most of them because of what they looked like, or for there collectability. To pick one single favorite would be absolutely impossible for me, but I could narrow it down to maybe 3-4 favorites.

I would be happy to let you know which ones those are, but not on an open forum. I just dont think it would be proper.......................

Hope all is well with you my friend,

Steve

Steve,

Fair enough, we'll have something to talk about over lunch and dinner, my treat. When I get to the City. I am really looking foward to that trip.

I am a player first, cue guy second. Your insight is correct. I do have some very big Barry's that have never been chalked, I'd guess I have played with 80% of my collection. I do have some cues that are better players than others, but thats a subjective thing. But I do have one cue that is my main player, I didnt consider who made it when I chose it, I used about 12 cues over a 18 month period and ended up with the cue that suited me best, when I fell onto it-I went back and forth with a few other cues for a month and with out a doubt I do play better with it. I wasnt sentmental about who made it. Its not a Gus, I do have one Gus thats very similar to it-the best hitting Gus I own. Gus has been and will awalys be my favorite cue maker. At lunch I'll tell you about it.

thanks,

eric :)

I agree, Steve is a great man. Whom I have the highest respect for. Not because of his cues, but because of his charcter and niceness. I feel that way about you too Alton. There are great people in life, the trick is to be with them and be a great person yourself-then life is alot nicer.
