Tim Padgett Cues

Though elusive like the higgs boson, he has been sighted in recent months...and carrying a cue like he knows how to use it.

I gave Tim a few hundred toward a custom back in around 2000. He never delivered. Recently ran into someone working a Billiards store who is friends with him and whom Tim still does shaft repairs and such for.

This guy did me the favor of reminding Tim about my deal with him. Apparently Tim had no recollection of it and wanted my info so he could check his records. As reported back to me, he seemed embarrassed.

He’s also been dealing with a list of health issues. In a nutshell, he should be dead but apparently, he’s a tank and doesn’t know when to give up.

I passed on via his friend that I didn’t want to add any stress to his life and that I’d be willing to eat the money, but that I’d be more than happy with a conversion. Will see what happens.

Tim is a personal friend and a standup guy. No way I could ever envision him purposely taking someone's money with ill intent.

Yes, the last 3-5 years have been hell for Tim and his family and a lessor man would not be with us. He's easily the toughest person I've ever known.

Your gesture to forgo a refund is admirable but I'd be willing to bet Tim gets you your money back.

Tim's cues were absolutely outstanding. It's too bad he could not continue with cuemaking--extremely talented man. Glad to hear he is doing okay and maybe playing pool again.

Absolutely, when the laundry list of things he’s endured was told to me, I just wanted the guy to stop talking. Clearly a tough ufcking guy.

He was super cool when I met him in person back in the day when I went to his shop to talk specs on my cue.

The way his reaction to hearing about my case was relayed to me, it honestly sounded like he was genuinely bothered by it and maybe a little ashamed.

I had a Padgett cue at the time but after meeting him and placing my order, I gave mine to a close friend. She still has it and treasures it. Part of me wishes I held on to it.

I don’t think I’ll ever see the cue I ordered. I’d love a conversion. If that’s not in the cards, he can keep the money and put it toward his health.
