Though elusive like the higgs boson, he has been sighted in recent months...and carrying a cue like he knows how to use it.
No one could get him to make cues even when he was making cues.
Tim is a personal friend and a standup guy. No way I could ever envision him purposely taking someone's money with ill intent.I gave Tim a few hundred toward a custom back in around 2000. He never delivered. Recently ran into someone working a Billiards store who is friends with him and whom Tim still does shaft repairs and such for.
This guy did me the favor of reminding Tim about my deal with him. Apparently Tim had no recollection of it and wanted my info so he could check his records. As reported back to me, he seemed embarrassed.
He’s also been dealing with a list of health issues. In a nutshell, he should be dead but apparently, he’s a tank and doesn’t know when to give up.
I passed on via his friend that I didn’t want to add any stress to his life and that I’d be willing to eat the money, but that I’d be more than happy with a conversion. Will see what happens.
Absolutely, when the laundry list of things he’s endured was told to me, I just wanted the guy to stop talking. Clearly a tough ufcking guy.Tim is a personal friend and a standup guy. No way I could ever envision him purposely taking someone's money with ill intent.
Yes, the last 3-5 years have been hell for Tim and his family and a lessor man would not be with us. He's easily the toughest person I've ever known.
Your gesture to forgo a refund is admirable but I'd be willing to bet Tim gets you your money back.
