Tim Scruggs Near Mint True Sneaky

I have a Tim Scruggs near mint condition sneaky pete. This would be what most would consider a true sneaky and not a hustler. It has no joint collars or butt cap. This cue is absolutely free of any dings, dents or scratches and still has a full 13mm shaft. Weight is close to 19oz. I haven't weighed it in a very long time but I think it's between 18.7 and 19.1 (I don't own any cues lighter or heavier) It was made around 84-85. It has only been used for a few test hits and has less than 10 minutes of play. Proof of how little it has been used:
Clean shaft still at 13mm, no sanding
No dirt in the joint (has only been screwed together a few times)
No wear on the bumper
Reflection of the ferrule in the finish (hasn't been refinished, burnt TS is fully intact.)

I'm just throwing it out here to see if anyone is interested not. I've been pretty busy so I don't have much time to work trades, just cash. Looking for $475 shipped. PM if interested. Sorry about the size of pics, not much time to resize. Thanks for looking.

Wont be for sale past the weekend, I have to leave town for several days. Price reduced to $450

No longer for sale

Same here except mine has a little rubber plug over the screw, and a nice early '80s "patina" :)

I have this exact model sneaky also, the hit in these older 80's ones is alot better that the newer scruggs sneakys, alot of people on here lately have been downplaying their resell price and availability...

To my knowledge tim made many models of sneakies. It is not unusual to have one just like this. I've seen several like the above, ones with white buttcaps, hoppe rings with black joint collars, white joint with double white rings at the buttcap etc. nothing unusual to have a similar cue.
I bought from a guy collecting cues several years back he bought the cue back in '84-'85. I thought about collecting a few but it's just a shame to not play with it.
I agree with TxOnePocket they are downplayed alot but I see them sell well on ebay.

Ts

I actually just acquired a sneaky like this one. I did also see one sell on ebay, that was in the same condition for 535.00 with 20shipping.... That proves that ebay sells well on these cues. Great pics and great looking cue!! - John

Thanks john I thought I was offering a fair price seeing as that ebay action ended $100 more than I was asking. There were one or two somewhat rude PM's that said I was asking too much.

$450 was a fair price I thought. Most people were pleasant but the rude ones who were saying I was trying to rip people off just made me realize that I should keep it for now. Don't know who drudged up this post. It is 2 weeks old and was only for sale that weekend. Needed the quick cash and didn't want to haggle. It is no longer for sale.

TS SP's

WOWSER......these prices are exciting :D

I've got several TS SP cues and, given the current state of our economics they might need to be sold :(

Check my threads for pics and let me know your interest levels :)

Happy Holidays,

Ken ;)

Yup

Less than 10 J/B's I would guess and I know of 7. I have a signed one! Six were made special order for a man in North Carolina if I rember right. No telling how many sneakies Jeff made when he was there. No Jeff and limited shaft wood means no more sneakies. I have to wounder if $1500.00 would get a birdseye jump cue built.
Nick :)
