TIM SCRUGGS "PHANTOM" w/ 3 SHAFTS

FROM WHAT I'VE READ UNDER TEN OF THESE CUES WERE EVER BUILT. THE "PHANTOM" WAS BUILT TO BE THE ULTIMATE PLAYERS CUE, DESIGNED FROM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BUILDING CUES IN THE SCRUGGS SHOP BETWEEN TIM SCRUGGS AND MIKE COCHRAN.

I'M NOT SURE OF ALL THE ASPECTS OF THE DESIGN, BUT I'VE READ ABOUT A SPECIAL FOREARM/HANDLE TAPER THAT WAS USED, AND OF THE INCREDIBLE QUALITY STRAIGHT GRAINED MAPLE THAT WAS USED TO BUILD THESE RARE CUES. PHENOLIC RADIAL PIN JOINT, WITH RED CORAL DOT INLAY ON THE TIP OF THE PIN. SUPER WHITE STRAIGHT MAPLE FOREARM, DEEP CUT EBONY POINTS, PHENOLIC RING ABOVE THE LIZARD WRAP WITH "PHANTOM" IN RED CORAL LETTERING. EBONY BACK END, WITH RED CORAL TS LOGO. STACKED RED RINGS AT THE BUTT CAP, AND AT THE JOINT.

BUTT OF THE CUE IS 15.3 OUNCES, AND COMES WITH 3 SHAFTS ALL WITH SHORT IVORY FERRULES: SHAFT 1 IS 3.7 OUNCES/12.65mm. SHAFT 2 HAS A VERY SLIGHT ROLL AND IS 3.8 OUNCES/12.85mm. SHAFT 3 HAS AN EXTRA BLACK RING ON THE COLLAR AND THE FERRULE APPEARS TO HAVE A DEEP SCRATCH. (POSSIBLE CRACK, BUT IT'S SUPER SOLID SO I DOUBT IT) IT'S 4.1 OUNCES/13.1mm.

THIS IS A PLAYERS CUE, AND THERE WERE ONLY 10 BUILT!

This used to be my old cue. Mike Cochran told me that this was the very first one.

My father helped in designing this cue with Mike and Tim. I have the original add from the Cues n Things web site. If youre interested I could post it up here.

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION...... THAT, IMO, MAKES THE CUE EVEN MORE SPECIAL.

NOW I HAVE 2 CUES LISTED THAT ARE NUMBER 1, OUT OF LESS THAN TEN. (THE OTHER IS AN IT'S GEORGE)

I ENJOY OFFERING SPECIAL CUES TO AZBILLIARDS.

After reading the first post I am calling Marcus. I think Nick S. hijacked his account. :p

This group of cues numbering between 6 and 8 was JP's idea and design.

Great buy for someone.
