Yes it's there. Those get faint over time. They can be darkened with the black wax stuff (can't remember what it's called) that cuemakers use.

As I mentioned in the description, I am not the original owner. On a side note, the spacing on the Rings for both shafts is identical. Does that mean Tim Scruggs did not make the shafts? I have no idea. If Tim Scruggs did not make the shafts, I have no idea who did. Sorry

it looks like a really nice Scruggs at a very reasonable price

it seems to me that you guys are being unreasonably strict and critical over
another mans cue

this is not the place to show off your knowledge or parade your expertise

someone who loved Tim and his cues will probably love this one and
be glad he bought it in the years to come

3 weeks ago ,I bought one almost like this for the same money, but mine
did not have the ivory diamonds

honestly fellas if you can not say something nice about a fellas cue, then stay out of his thread

I have been around cues sometime, bought over 50 Tim Scruggs cues and this looks like a nice one

if you have a better one for the same money or less
call me

fancy rings and ivory diamonds for only $1800,hard to find

And I don't know the seller,I just feel for him

I wasn't picking up on any overly critical vibe from the 2 posters who asked questions about this cue.

Asking who did the refinish seems like a fair question because as we all know, some perform this work much better than others and with regard to the shaft shown in the top pic, it does seem to have a slightly different ring. The maple dashes are more box-shaped compared with the butt side ring that has slightly more rectangular maple dashes.

Trying to determine these things can help guide a purchase decision.

imo.

and for the record, I do agree with Dean, that this is a great looking TS and seems like a good value.

GL to the op on his sale.

best,
brian kc
