I have a Tim Scruggs sneaky Pete with 2 shafts for sale.. The cue is in good shape it shows normal wear on the clear from playing with it . The butt has a white delrin butt cap with TS logo and a black joint ring and it weighs 14.8 o/z. The first shaft is straight and weighs 4.0 o/z . the second shaft has less the a credit card rise in the taper it weighs 3.8 o/z . I want $`---- SOLD THANKS FOR LOOKING

Sruggs sneaky pete

The long ferrule shaft is 12.47 at the ferrule
The short ferrule shaft is 12.26 at the ferrule

Guys this cue is dead straight together and apart ... The raise in the taper is very hard to see this cue plays great , Make me a offer

I was told yes they both are but not sure . I will take photos of the shafts . And this my first sale on AZ but you can check with Patrick custom cues .. And he will vouch for me .. I WILL TAKE 500.00 PLUS SHIPPING COST

I have more photos of the cue on St Louis mo craigslist go to the search bar and type pool cue.. I will trade the cue and cash for another TS cue

Scruggs Butt w/Black Collar

Hello Tony,

One member asked you if the shafts were original.

As the butt of the cue has a black collar, logic would tell me that the original Scruggs shafts would have a matching black collar at the joint.

I've never owned a Scruggs sneaky, so I'm not sure if that would be the case.

Perhaps other Scruggs owners could chime in on this, as I'd like to educate myself on this important detail.

It is highly unlikely these are original shafts

I agree...if original to the cue, they would have the black collar.

As to whether or not they are actual Scruggs shafts, could you post pix of the joint end of the shafts, including the brass inserts?

Also, one shaft appears to have a shorter ferrule than the other. Could you post pix of the ferrules/tips?

What are the lengths of each of the shafts, as well as the butt?

I have a ts sneaky with the black coller yes it should have the black coller on the shafts you can get bob frye to make the shafts 4 u he used to work for tim
 
The shafts could be origional

The butt may be repaired. If there is a wood ring inside the phenolic it was repaired by TS Cues.
These Cues played unbelievable but the repair was a pain and last resort.
The cue was repaired using a dowel that was threaded into place then the joint was threaded on and it was repinned. Alot more to it.
Back in the old days it would have been at least $40-$80. About 2 hours labor not counting a week or two for the glue to set.
This repair was hard to fake because everything was on their center and the machine work was a bother. If you were good enough to do it you did an easier way.
Butt looks right.
What kind of TS are you looking for in trade?

I believe everything is TS as you stated. One shaft had the ferrule shortened. Probably the cheapest repair. Hacksaw.:D

Bob Frey never worked for Tim Scruggs. They were equal partners that built Tim Scruggs Custom Cues under their TS logo that they owned equally. They built everything together. All the Cues until 1984 when Bob turned everything over to his childhood buddy Tim.
