Tonight on the Discovery Channel, 8:00 EST, there is a cool show called Time Warp where they slow-mo and show cool angles of camera shots. Tonight is the show they do on a billiard pro,I've seen the preview and it is pretty neat. If it turns out to be boring,I apoligize. If anyone has seen it , let me know if it's worth watching. Happy Holidays...Ron

Yes, this was posted when the show first aired. It's Liz Ford from NYC. I've DVR'd the wrong episode about a million times so thanks for the heads-up.

Searching through the DVR guide, "Time Warp" seems to be on a lot today, but none of them mention billiards. What time does it say it will be on?

Here's the full episode, you can watch it for free online.

here

If your really interested in super slo-mo pool video's Dr. Dave also has a bunch on his website

can anyone imagine incorporating this into a competitive atmosphere? or in feedback in a training regime.

I think most of what they show is stuff intermediate players already know. The production wasn't meant for pool players but for people who don't REALLY understand pool. However, that slow-motion camera is amazing. Watching the break at that speed could be incredibly useful. It's too bad they only showed the break once and only the first few miliseconds, at that.

If you havent seen it, Check the second link I posted to Dr. Dave high speed vid's. TOn's & Ton's of footage including breaks.

i agree its pretty simplistic, but entertaining none the less.just trying to open some creative windows for the many imaginitive and diverse posters here

there's an understatement. the cam's that they use on Time Warp are state of the art, very very expensive. Def Awesome.

The Time Warp camera makes mine look like a pin hole in a piece poster board. I am very envious of their equipment.

I love that show; although, sometimes it seems like they "borrow" ideas from my non pool high-speed video website, but that thought is probably just a symptom of my jealousy.

I wish I had a better camera (Is Santa listening?),
Dave

I missed the show the first time it came on.It was a trivia question on the WPBA on ESPN the other night and reminded me about it. All of the episodes are on today and I recorded some of them, very interesting show. I have watched all of Dr.Daves video's,which are great and thought this was a little different.I still haven't seen it yet, four Wal-Mart's,two malls and other stores today,it's what I get for waiting for the last minute for Christmas shopping....Ron
