timed out

It was about slow play. Some guy was complaining about slow players. I have been playing a long time and have met only 1 player that played well and played slow.

Funny that you took so long to post something about slow play that you had a timeout on the site LOL. Not sure why though, the only time I had to re-login or had a post mess up since I joined the site is if I cleaned all my temp files in the web browser or used the back button.

There are a lot of things that might slow an experienced player down. I was playing on fast cloth and tight pockets this week when I usually play on crappy equipment and that slowed me down.

Apparently the system doesn't like slow posters  :)

Hello Dale, my name is Steve Doyle, and this is why me and a lot of other players who can actually play some stay away from this forum.

Well my name is Dale and I can play a good deal more than some and I tend to get
annoyed when clueless people blame "the world" for their shortcommings.

If you had the good sense to ask politely why you timed out, many, including me,
would have been willing to help you.

Instead you want to knock a forum and whine.

How could I have ever guessed you are a pool player, who thinks he can play?

Now go count up your "likes"

Dale

Hi Steve
I really didn't misunderstand you, I was laughing because from the way it was worded at first some could assume what you were trying to say and before I could finish reading everything you had written, I busted up laughing.

The topic seems to be about slow players and you didn't write your original thread fast enough and got a time out.
Then you got really frustrated and wrote this thread.

No offense but when most people get frustrated they are funnier then $hit.

no offense taken, thanks for being polite, I was actually trying to be a little humorous with my posts

I hope this made you feel better

Your frustration and reaction thereto are unfortunate.

As a couple people said, you can write your post elsewhere and then copy and paste it here. But that is unnecessary for solving your issue.

As carguy said in post #10 (I don't know whether you read it and understood it, since you haven't acknowledged it yet) -- when you log in with your user name and password, there is a third box next to the words "Remember Me?" Just click that box and you can take however long you need to compose your post; it will not time you out.

Stick around and contribute. It's not all bad here.

thank you sir, I appreciate the help

Well, I learned something this thread...about the 'remember me'...
...I didn't realize how handy it is.
Thanx for starting the conversation.

pt...still trying to find the 'any' key
:scratchhead:

I just tried to write a short post. It timed me out before I could finish. This is why I will stay on FB. This forum is too frustrating in so many different ways its just not worth the time anymore. And this is just one of many reasons why I don't visit here often.

I have not experienced that problem but you could type your post on wordpad and then cut and paste if being timed out is an issue.
