Tip burnish

Only used it on pens and such, I have other waxes with grit I occasionally use on larger things if they need a smooth down without adding gloss. EEE would probably work also, its just that atthe rate I am using this container, it will last me the rest of my days for what I use it for.
Sorry to go off topic. Are you a member of IAP?
I like to use EEE on a pen blank after few coats of CA.

I've tried the dollar bill, and burnishing leather on an elk master dud, and all it did was fluff up.
Old style Tweeten tips were prone to fluffing into a marshmallow like mess. Now they are more like rock than leather. Any quality leather will polish up nicely with most any of the methods described. If it is so soft and absorbs moisture so easily that a bit of water or spit will break it down it was a piece of junk anyway.

I love how every simple little thing becomes rocket science if it involves a pool cue. Fucking hysterical sometimes. Put a piece of leather on a stick, polish it a bit smash it into a hard round object... Complicated stuff here.

I recently got some of this to try. I still use some beeswax at the very end.
I've been using a bit of Renaissance Wax at the end too. I like to put a bit on the ferrule and tip at the end anyway. It helps the ferrule look a bit refreshed. I think it does help.
