The blade guide is an old concept that is not original to you or me. I just took it to a level neither of us have in the past. But on the other hand, using a Taig chuck for cue work was original to me. So the picture does look familiar. :)

Now, now, boys... play nice

Kudos to both of you for your ingenuity.

I think it's great when people expand on an idea and take it to the next level. I wish I'd thought of something like this.

Need is the mother of invention. I have one made by Chuck and really like it (plus Chuck is such a nice guy). It also adds a safety factor to using a razor blade to shape a cue tip.

I love the guide I got from you Bob
So much so that I had one made out of 1/2" aluminum for each of my lathes!

I just went to your site and saw yours. Nice job. These things have been around for years as customers have told me they made them for themselves. You just might have been the first one to market it. Who knows? I decided to make these after I got my new mill summer before last, but got bogged down making lathe beds and other lathe parts, inlay patterns, inlay machines, etc.. and just now squeezed the time in to make them. Now I have to reset the machine to make lathe beds and who knows when I will get any of my other new items made that are just ideas at this point.

Chuck on a lathe...What a concept.

You missed the word Taig. I could have said, Taig parts or something more witty. But I do not have sarcasm down to as much of an art as you do.
