I am about out of Porper's Tip Touch and can not find a supplier for it.
Anyone know of a source?
How about the Tip Crystal ... anyone used it?
Its clear not colored.

I’m pretty sure it is just Fiebings edge coat. You can get it from eBay or Tandy leather... they have many colors...it’s like $7 for 4 ounces. Lol all tip touch people do is repackage and resell to cue smiths unfortunately

Fiebings edge coat is a lot thicker and more like a coating.
Tip Touch is thinner, more brownish in color, and penetrates quickly into the tip.
It might be some formula using a bit of Fiebings edge coat ... cutting it with alcohol gets it very close.

NeatLac is a lacquer type of gel coat for sealing off cut leather. Or sealing off finished leather to stop dye transfer.... trust me ... try it

I had a good friend with an issue of dye transfer to his aramith balls from his Diamond 9ft pockets. About three coats of NeatLac solved that. Very good product

Hi,
"what is the purpose of this item???
I don't recall hearing of it before.
thanks

It toughens up the raw exposed sideof the leather tip and provides a nice shine.
Just an extra touch I like to do for my tip customers.

Never did find any Joe Porper's Tip Touch and I thing it is no longer being made.

THANK YOU ….
I see the vids on youtube-
seems people use different burnishing fluids/sealers, even wax"
I always use little spit, little leather to burnish side of tip is all"
I may try this item.

So, has anybody tried these products mentioned up there ↑

Fiebing's Edge Kote
Eco-Flo Tandy Neat Lac

Waterproof, holds longer than spit, flexible, won't damage the leather or the glue of the tip.

If be curious to know what's the best for laminated tips?

I've always used spit and roll the tip on a hard surface.

Recently I've been using the leather edge on my last4ever tool, Also I've been using museum wax and buffing the surface is another alternate

Did anyone ever find a suitable replacement or it rebranded somehow?

While we're on the subject, what is the hair product that is rebranded as Cue Silk? Tommy D.

After I install a tip or trim a mushroomed tip, I rub some Renaissance wax on the side of the tip with my finger and burnish it with a dollar bill.
